It is said that when storm clouds gather over England and dark days lay ahead then the Lady of the Lake will rise from her watery resting place bearing Excalibur – to be taken by a pure-hearted champion for the people (or perhaps it’ll just be taken by the council).
Well, with Greece on the blink, Portugal up the swanny and Italy on the ropes it would appear that the time is upon us…Good people of England take cheer for now Excalibur is here it will all be sorted post haste!
Even now I’m proud of all the work I had to go through to get this done. No one will ever know that there were fake jewels stuck to the handle or that I’d made a special concrete filled bucket so the sword would stay upright. Not to mention how cold that water was and the rather strange look I got from the one man watching who was sitting on a bench quietly drinking a can of Special Brew.

This fake submarine is a gimmick from the committee organizing the annual late summer festivities in Katwijk aan den Rijn. It looks remarkable realistic on photos, but not so when you see it with your own eyes. The Royal Navy contacted the committee telling them they would have preferred to be informed about this. Their communication department is confronted with numerous calls and emails asking about the 'navy's presence' in Katwijk...

As I sat at this lake today and watch the world go by ...these clouds came in, which looked so dramatic to me...they almost look fake...
Pour la plupart des ados, le monde dans lequel ils vivent ne leurs donne pas vraiment l’envie de “grandir” !
C’est très compliqué, surtout dans un monde où plus personne ne croit dans le progrès ni dans un monde meilleur …
C’est un peu inquiétant car ça ne donne pas vraiment envie de grandir !!!
Les ados sont par ailleurs en quête de sens dans un monde dominé par les “fake news”…
