•Vast quantities of tap water

•2 Liters of Mild Green Fairy Liquid

•Bake continuously on a high heat under direct sunshine

Stir mixture thoroughly using girl until desired laughter is achieved. For an alternative result repeat process steadily removing clothes.

Using D7000 with Nikon 50mm 1.8 and a reversing ring..

I was doing the washing up and when I looked down I saw these bubbles - I therefore had to reach for the camera before I could carry on cleaning! :)

I absolutely-cannot-blooming-wait to move and have a dishwasher once more. It's been a long 6mths without one.

Sorry its so shaky...the 50mm 1.8 has no VR...and it really does make a difference...anyways...

Check out the bubble and how it moves...I hope you find it as interesting as I did..!

First attempt at capturing soap film patterns and colours - prompted by an article in the Feb 2012 edition of Practical Photography.

Wire loop used to hold a soapy film (Fairy Liquid and water mix) - held at an angle to the camera lens and lit with a 40w incandescent houshold bulb.

Will have to re-visit this as I'm not overly happy with the results.

Here is a bit of a move away from usual style of shooting. The truth be told, this is remeniscent of the style of shooting I would like to adopt. If you look over the images I favourite on Flickr, they have this 'natural light' feel to them.

I wasn't planning to do this- isn't it always the way :) I was actually planning to shoot a coffee spash shot for the group on Flickr- it was featured on Friday on the Flickr blog. Arthur and I had a go at trying to create a splash, but I still cant find the camera screw for my tripod so I am doomed to use one with no tilt- I kind of got there, but then I was catching the light coming through the bind and somehow caught sun flare- whoop!

I've been wanting to try it for ages, so I took a few shots and I like this one the best- kind of sums up Sunday Afternoons in my house- great dinner, wash up and settle down for the night.

Dinner was yummy today (thanks mum and Arthur for the brilliant potato gratin :)

I will dedicate this to Mum & Arthur.

Note the 3 little bokeh faeries, I can't work out if that is bokeh or just a result of the sun flare.View On Black

This week's theme was: Old and new

I've been wandering around all week looking for something for this week's theme and then lying in bed this morning half asleep, I remembered that yesterday I bought a new bottle of washing up liquid and put it on the kitchen sink. QED! :)

My first shocking attempt at a Macro shot.

Armed only with a Fairy liquid bottle filled with salty water, he tracks down the elusive razor shells. Here's a full report.

How much fun can you have with some water, Fairy Liquid, torch and food colouring then blow some bubbles.

This is straight out of the camera, no nothing. Thanks to Piers for lending the mighty Nikon 60mm macro.
