NEWPORT, RI – Faculty and staff from the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) are recognized for their achievements in an awards ceremony held in Spruance Auditorium, June 5, 2023. During the ceremony, NWC President Rear Adm. Shoshana S. Chatfield addressed the college while also presenting awards to civilian and military personnel from the faculty and staff and frocked four Sailors for promotion to the next rank. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage. The University recently honored its 2017 cohort of Faculty Researchers of the Year, recognizing 12 faculty members for their accomplishments in the pursuit of new knowledge.
The SCOHS Faculty & Staff enjoyed a Holiday Party filled with fellowship, fun, food, contests, gift swap, door prizes and more. Contests included awards for the best dessert, ugliest Christmas sweater and most Christmas spirit! Fun was had by all. Thank you for a great party and to everyone for sharing the spirit of the season with one another!

Physics of Ice

The 2016 Faculty Exhibition features the creative explorations of Visual Arts Faculty and Artists in Residence at North Dakota State University. The Professional Practicing Artists from the Visual Arts Department are continually researching and developing their craft to contribute to the contemporary art discussion through publication and exhibition. This exhibit features these artists’ newest visual artworks in sculpture, painting, ceramics, printmaking, photography and mixed media.
This years exhibition features new and recent works by Kimble Bromley, Eric Johnson, Kent Kapplinger, Aaron Kirchhoff, Meghan Kirkwood, Tim Lamey, Michael Strand, Andrew Stark, David Swenson, Sarah Tancred and Malcolm Thompson
