An autumn evening that was irresistibly emotional.
I think my remote is dying. I got a new battery and it still was acting weird, although my BFF Juliana had better luck with it! Argh. I think I need to order a new one soon. It lasted 6 months though and I treated it like shit so.. ah well, haha.
Juliana came over with food to have with me and I got us some wine... it was a lovely night full of laughing and good talks. I adore her so. I also helped her make sure she was cutting her fabric correctly for her first quilt ever! Yay! Next week she will start sewing and I'll hang around to help and do some of my own quilting as well.
I am so... so... so tired today. I think all the stress I was dealing with for the past couple of weeks have finally caught up with me once I kinda figured some shit out, at least for the meanwhile... so now my body is like ahh ok that's over with now LET'S FUCKING RELAX... I think I'll go pass out now. I am so excited to have a long weekend, YES! I was thinking about going to a friend's queer thanksgiving dinner thing tomorrow night. It would be fun and I'd like to meet more folks but I am just feeling so low on energy now after everything and also socializing with people night after night for.. THREE DAYS IN A ROW. Yeah I know that's nothing but come on, this is me we're talking about. Haha.

Facial Expressions of Ms Nishvika Naidu, Brand Ambassador of the Jewellery Show 2023 held in Bengaluru.
This may be my favorite pic of Ripley the pup. The profound expression in her sweet eyes completely captures me here. And her patented canine head cock, the bit of dirt on her nose, even the random Mexican blanket in the negative space all amuse me. She's clearly saying "I'm earnestly trying to understand here, Chief. Talk to me." Like all relationships, we're still working on our communication skills.

This photo was taken as part of a commissioned work for the BMW Group, which sponsored the jazz series "Jazz & More" in Munich in the year 2000. I should also make pictures that show the musicians before the actual concert at sound check and so. I greeted Mr. Dino Saluzzi and gave him my hand. I felt a warm and very fleshy hand. A day later, the newspaper read: his bony fingers slid over the keys...

secret: One year ago today I uploaded my first picture to flickr. In this year I've uploaded 3,882 public photos, 4,000 photos total (this is the 4,000th!). 14 of those made it into explore. I'm on day 99 out of my 365days and today finished my 2nd set of 30 secrets in 30 days. Most importantly, I've friended with 264 contacts. It was the time of the Tibetan New Year and there was hustle and bustle everywhere. But she was sitting quietly at the side of the road near the monastery, spinning her prayer wheel.

Unfortunately, the first of my uploads this year also has a sad background. The soul/jazz musician Les McCann died, as I learned from the newspaper, at the end of December at the age of 88. This photo is intended as a memorial to a great musician. I still remember very well when I met him at a jazz festival, we drank wheat beer together and talked about Leica and Leica lenses. He was an enthusiastic Leica photographer himself. Take care !!!

One of the best and busiest market is Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Its has small and big stores of the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts. While shopping there on my last visit took the photo of these women typically dressed in salwar kameez and hijab covering their heads while one of them does not appear to be covering her head. It was a warm August day and it's apparent as each has a soft drink can in their hands.

I just found this shot amongst some photographs I took a couple of weeks ago on a wet day in Düsseldorf.
I’d been trying to get pictures of umbrellas with a variety of patterns and colours!
The woman’s face in this shot isn’t in focus, but I really liked her expression... she seems to be completely lost in thought...which made me think the slightly blurred soft capture somehow fitted her mood!
I think she’s even forgotten the cigarette drooping down between her fingers.
