"Holi", also known as "The Festival of Colors", is a Hindu spring festival celebrated all across India and Nepal as well as in other countries with large Indian diaspora populations. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relations. Its also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest. In the San Francisco Bay Area, an area with a large Indian and Sikh population, it is celebrated each year at Leo Ryan Park in Foster City, California.
Holi is celebrated by people joyfully throwing colored powder and colored water at each other. The powders pay homage to the bright colors seen during the spring season. This woman, seemingly unaffected by the joy and pleasure around her displays a rather stoic look.
I met this guy whilst riding from Vung Tau to Mui Ne, gave us some simple directions. The funny thing is we saw him again about 5 hours later in a small fishing village, the laws of attraction, maybe.

A Charm Among The Crowd
I quickly spotted this charming young lady among the crowd as she was stepping down the stairs… I thought she was alone and if I knew she wasn’t from the start, I would have not asked her. But while she was showing signs of agreement, she looked towards, I guess, her parents. It was as if she was silently saying, this looks interesting; wait for me; I gotta have my picture taken.
The background, this time, provided a nice color, which kinda confused me if her eye color was really green or blue. I hope she tells me…
I’m so glad and proud of myself to have asked her. So excited that I’m not even sure if I got her name right – Kendell or Kendall?
