Opened his eyes this morning and painted him. My first boy faceup and first try at mod ever... but I am not sure about him.. I will probably sell him since I think I am more of a "female dolls person".
oh and btw ... yes,,, he is using the big boobed Nicolle's body for this shot ^^;; hahah

My first lady got her new look together at last! New Mako Eyes from their Owl line and new lashes. :)
My first ever attempt at a faceup. It came out a little bolder than I intended, and I still need to trim her lashes down (they are human size), but overall it's less of a train wreck than I was expecting. This wasn't only my first BJD faceup, but my first time working with an airbrush, pastels and watercolor pencils. So, while not perfect, it could have been much worse.
Next time around, I won't be working under the Ott Light. That light made everything seem lighter and less bold than it really was, leading me to overdue the density of pastels on the lips. I need to do my next faceup under natural light.
I also learned that I not only have much to learn in terms of painting and airbrushing, but also of cosmetics and picking colors for a given skin tone. I wanted her to look natural, but due to the aforementioned Ott Light issue, she came out looking quite made-up. :-/
She also needs dark hair, but the only wig I have in 9-10 is the platinum bombshell...
Performed a faceup on Lawrence.
Eyes are GLiB Life-like acrylic eyes in slate blue that Iplehouse packed him with.
Finally finished repainting Sheryl, I love this look for her! Just need to make some new metallic eyes since she needs smallish 22mm and I only have old janky ones that size.
I'm not satisfied with the result of dz Re head, she wasn't supposed to be like that, but I made a lot of mistakes and I started again and again and this is the best I could do :/
on the contrary I'm very happy with the pumpkin head :D
I was happy with the puki headback too but when I sprayed the last coating of MSC a sheet fell on it and the color went away -_- dang it! I hope I'll do better next time...
puki face (to go with that headback) is waiting for the makeup but I'm still not sure if it'll be boy or girl... I have "it" dressed like a boy when it has the pumkin mask on and as a girl without the mask, in any case "it" is supposed to be a bad boy/girl (and with boys it's easier)

Gave her a faceup the morning of a meet we were going to xD
Ended up using an old can of spray though, and it messed her eyebrows up, buuut i still like it xD
And i sealed some dust, so those became beauty marks~ xD
My lovely new girl has a face! She is meant to live in a very cold climate, so her faceup should reflect an extensive blush , all the way down the cheeks. Her hair will be quite pale so the eyebrows were toned down to be just two to three shades darker.
These are not her permanent eyes though, she will be getting two different pairs.
Enough blabber, I hope to start on her wig soon!

I got to do a Soom Sabik face-up.
He got a greyish blush with white freckles on his face.
Such a hansome and friendly sculpt, wow.
I enjoyed working on him :D
