Do you have one of those dolls that's just a never-ending mess? This would be mine.
When I did his faceup it was on a cold, nasty day and the sleeping face chipped so I had to wait a few days to fix it. The mouth on the OE FP didn't look right so I had to redo it. Then I did the sleep face and liked it better. Then I finally redid the mouth on this one and have it where I like it...but when I looked at it in actual light (which is something my apt does not have), it's really smudged and covered in lint. Plus I think there's a tiny chip.
Arg. So I will be trying to clean it off without ruining what I have because I don't want to do it over from scratch. I'm seriously low on MSC and have several dolls that need faceups....
Oh, he has different eyes again. I switched out the Owl-011s for the TA-004s. The Owls looked better in big Joker.

I ruined her last faceup so I had to re-do. Not sure about this.. I feel like her eyebrows are too high (pet peeve of mine with faceups). On the positive she looks sassy like I wanted her to in the first place. Tonight she's getting her piercings back on and (finally) getting nipples.

I fought with her because she refused to be sealed!
I was asked to make a black haired tomboy-like faceup, with a lot of freckles and a pale pink mouth.
I'm sorry, I had no other body that fit her head, and no eyes in her size, so the pics are a bit ugly T.T

This was one day not long ago, I had lots of dolly heads to spray ^^
I use an airbrush with a non-toxic matt varnish, and an extraction booth so I'm able to do it all in my work space. The dolls aren't stored on the desktop by the way! They're kept in drawers out of the light and only come out when I'm working on them or they're drying.
This is a custom faceup on a tan Pullip MIO kit for Mina Mimosa.
Mina approached me about doing a custom with eyebrows like Beatrice. When we talked, we came up with the idea of a gypsy girl from the moors or perhaps a lovely Spanish girl. Hence Elizah was born.
She indeed has eyebrows like Beatrice, though they are longer. This gives her a bit of a worried expression. Like usual, we wanted to keep her very realistic and so her colour palette involves a lot of dark browns and reds. Her lips are a lovely shade of pink-red. She was originally planned to have brown eyes, but when I gave her the brown chips, I felt there was something lacking. Thus I took a risk and went back to an eye backing that I made a long time ago, but added gold, bronze and a few silver flecks. The result was stunning–if I may say so myself.

Finally! This weekend I had time, msc and the weather was okay. Perfect for paintig faceups! Now my Granado Fayette look like this^^ Her name will be Vendela.
Second head I painted last weekend, I had four in total that I painted at once.
This girl is so beautiful, I kept the original shape of brows that the default faceup had, it fit the sculpt so well but just needed a touch of realism. I hope I pulled off her mature look well enough.
