I was in the parade for the Cuba Street Carnival (the Zoo float) and we all got our faces painted by BodyFX. I was a leopard.

Elementary School International Festival, Saturday, April 28, 2012, Lakeside, Calif.

based off of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photo. There is strong emotion displayed by the painted on face, and the face hiding behind the mask. I made the mask out of eyeliner, paint, and maker. I also placed a spotlight on the subject to get a thick shadow behind or to the side of her to create dimensions.

Loved the lighting and back wall at the Clementine Cafe. Definitely one of the best venues I've ever taken photos in.
