These birds are incredibly iridescent! They don't have the white face in the winter but I enjoyed the light and how it made the colors pop.

Waiting on a petal of an African Daisy for a meal to come along. I can see it has some pollen on its 'chin' so assume it has already caught an insect that was feeding.

#CN538 is waiting at Cecile Jct to continue northbound back to Coteau, but it’s a shit show, cause the Beauharnois CSX local has to clear the Valleyfield first for 327 to come down, then when 327 clears, 538 has the right of way back to Coteau.

Another common bird at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is the White-faced Ibis. Every morning when approaching the refuge, we saw large flocks of them flying around looking for the best places to forage. It's a bit tricky to get a good shot of one though. The brightness and angle of light has to be just right to get the iridescence to show up on their plumage and

to illuminate their namesake white face.
