A Kuwaiti F18 Hornet fighter aircraft stages an attack on Royal Navy Type 23 frigate HMS St Albans as a member of the ships protection force, trains a mini gun on the fast moving target during an exercise in the Middle East.

As HMS ST Albans made passage en route to Kuwait, the ship took part in a Passex (Passage Exercise) with Kuwaiti forces. The ship came under attack from Kuwaiti F18 Hornet jets prior to providing a Kuwaiti Supe Puma helicopter a platform to practice winching drills.

HMS St Albans was deployed to the Middle East for 6 months carrying out Counter Terrorism, Anti Narcotics and Anti Piracy operations before returning to the UK in December 2011.

Miramar Airshow 2022

So, we were at Andrews AFB this past Saturday and of course I took a ton of photos, but I really wanted to share this one with you guys. During the opening ceremonies Paul McCowan parachutes into the show with a massive 5,000 square foot American Flag during the National Anthem. Well I was taking photos and noticed he was headed towards the Blue Angels so I framed up the jet I hoped he was heading towards....but as parachuters come in for a landing they change directions according to the wind, etc.....so I tried to predict where he was heading and framed up the jet and stopped watching the guy coming down.....I kept hoping he was still headed for where I had predicted. Then all of a sudden the flag appeared in my viewfinder and I took the shot.............in the lower left you can see some soldiers running out to catch the flag as it approaches the ground.

Here I am in Florida and still shootin' bluebirds! Watched the Blue Angels practice today at Pensacola. These pilots are absolutely awesome. I'd guess there was a crowd of 10,000 or more showed up to watch a practice. I used to be a pretty fair wingshot, but I've never had to lead a bird as fast as these!
