Good morning everyone. Something a bit different from yours truly with this being the first in a series of aircraft pictures. All were taken at a recent airshow and since the main "headliner" was the Blue Angels I thought it would be a good way to begin the series.

As for the photos in this series, all are in-flight pictures of different aircraft. I decided before the show to concentrate on photographing planes in-flight versus at static displays. Big gamble on my part since I've never been successful photographing birds in-flight and here I was planning to photograph planes traveling up to 400 MPH or more instead.

Bottom line, while I learned a lot, and in hindsight would do somethings differently, I feel I was relatively successful. More so than I expected and I hope you'll agree to some degree. Either way, it was fun trying something new, and please feel free to offer any constructive feedback/criticism you feel might be helpful. It would be very much appreciated if you did. Thank you.

As for the airshow...it was terrific. First one we've attended in about ten years. Weather was decent, which was surprising since it rained for three days prior to. It was mostly cloudy and a bit hazy due to a relative high humidity, but it could have been worse. The only downside was getting to and from the show...plus parking. Traffic was horrific, plus the show organizers had to scramble at the last minute for alternate parking arrangements since the fields they originally planned on using were flooded and a literal quagmire.

Enough said for now....more later.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you're having a truly nice week.

I have grown a bit tired of these heritage flights, honestly, but it is nice to get two different aircraft in the same shot. In this case, both aircraft are really "heritage" planes, as I built my first F-18 model when I was about 12, and that was a long time ago!
