Philadelphia (8/21/17)

Wills Eye Hospital provided 2,000 pairs of free solar eclipse viewing glasses this morning. All of the glasses were gone by 10:00 a.m.

The first person in line arrived at 4:30 a.m. and was interviewed by several local TV stations. The line wound around the four corners, encompassing the hospital at Ninth and Walnut Streets.

A diverse group of individuals stood in line, reading, listening to music, taking selfies and attending to their pets, as they killed time before receiving their glasses.

Wills Eye Hospital was recently honored among the best Eye Hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Reports: Best Hospitals.

I love this image because my big hearted, sensitive girl came to his support as I asked him to practice wearing his new Doggles in preparation of riding the bike and scooter with me.

Tuesday (April 26) was the first time I've ever been to an actual range to shoot. These are the racks of ear protection, with safety glasses at lower right. Since I forgot to bring my own, it was nice to see these provided.

"More Precious Than Gold"

My prescription sunglasses - I'm blind as a bat regardless, but my sister and I recently found out we're at a very high risk for a particular family trait... macular degeneration. It's hereditary, and everyone in my dad's family now has it - but with a healthy diet (check!) and wearing sunglasses EVERY time we go outside, it can be prevented!

Ah.... the things I'll do for money and a tan.

Please let this get buried in the GAP pool before anyone I know sees it!!!!!
