👩🏫 Psychological Types (German: Psychologische Typen) is a book by Carl Jung that was originally published in German by Rascher Verlag in 1921, and translated into English in 1923, becoming volume 6 of The Collected Works of C. G. Jung.
In the book, Jung proposes four main functions of consciousness: two perceiving or non-rational functions (Sensation and Intuition), and two judging or rational functions (Thinking and Feeling). These functions are modified by two main attitude types: extraversion and introversion.
Jung proposes that the dominant function, along with the dominant attitude, characterizes consciousness, while its opposite is repressed and characterizes the unconscious. Based on this, the eight outstanding psychological types are: Extraverted sensation / Introverted sensation; Extraverted intuition / Introverted intuition; Extraverted thinking / Introverted thinking; and Extraverted feeling / Introverted feeling. Jung, as such, describes in detail the effects of tensions between the complexes associated with the dominant and inferior differentiating functions in highly and even extremely one-sided types.

Hi. This picture marks a great week for me that has been a turning point, one of those lights at the end of the tunnel in terms of my photogrpahy business.
Tim "the Don" here is a remarkable athlete and has already won three ITU Cups this year and came third in the London Triathlon last sunday (partly because of a reciprocal arrangement about sharing the work in the bike ride section lead pack that he elected to sit at the back of. All perfectly legal though of course.
My efforts to attract the attention of athletes, their managers or sponsors is finally paying off.
This shot is actually sponsor focused as Tim, pictured here at the end of his race is part sponsored by the new sports drink company EAS. I'd given Tim a print on race day and emailed his PR people after the race with a link to my website album. They asked for this shot for their sponsors newsletter. They agreed to credit me and that is very important for waht I am trying to do. You can see the actual shot with the crdit at this address. Now this should lead many of Tim's fans to my extensive albums of the two recent Triathlons I have covered. Even better news follows regarding tow elite athletes and my images.
Part of my business has to be a lot of ground work buildoiing up trust and credibility and developing realtionships with the athletes. a lot of them recognised me in London and so did people associated with the race. I am still geneous with , for example , giving prints to a few athletes becuase I actually like them and they deserve some recoghnition for the kindess they show me and the incredibly entertainment they also give the crowsds of fans. Tim , like me, is very extravert and has a great sense of humour. He is also an extraordinary runner and is one of the best triathletes in the world right now. It is really cool to be associated with athletes like this and be able to provide for them images that can help their careers.

Doc Rowe has been engaged in "serial collecting" with annual visits to innumerable seasonal events in the British Isles and Ireland.
Regular attendance and continuous fieldwork has led to a positive relationship between `collector' and `collected' and the documentation of otherwise unrecorded aspects of many of our cultural traditions. The preparation of costume, guises, garlands, designs etc., shaped by local and individual aesthetics, are rarely recorded but film and photography go some way to redress this. Supplemented by taped interviews, bibliographic, photographic and historical source material provides social and historical background material. His material is constantly updated and more private and intimate encounters are counterbalanced by more extravert, risky and dangerous activities such as running with blazing tar barrels or being crushed in mass scrums in community sport!

Diosa (+) que baja al mundo terrenal con la finalidad de utilizar su don curativo para ayudar a los mortales enfermos. C’est toujours un plaisir de raconter l’histoire de Yaron Herman tant son parcours est atypique et son ascension fulgurante. Au départ, ce natif de Tel Aviv admire davantage Michael Jordan que Keith Jarrett car son physique autant que ses goûts le conduisent naturellement au basket ball. Seulement voilà, une blessure au genou casse ses rêves. Il se met alors au clavier, sur le tard mais il est très vite remarqué pour un talent extraverti : il est couronné en Israël de divers prix « Jeune Talent », il décroche deux récompenses dont celle de « Soliste » au concours « Jazz à La Défense » en 2005, il est le « Talent Jazz Adami » en 2007, il obtient une « Victoire du Jazz » en 2008 dans la catégorie « Révélation Instrumentale ». Et le voici en 2009 à Jazz in Marciac où l’annonce de son concert apparaît comme un événement pour les spectateurs des sessions d’automne.

Es amigable y gentil, pero también alerta y extravertido. No manifiesta las cualidades posesivas del perro de guardia, ni tampoco es exageradamente sospechoso hacia los extraños o agresivo con otros perros. Se espera cierta reserva y dignidad en el perro adulto. Su inteligencia, docilidad y disposición para placer hacen de este perro un compañero agradable y un trabajador siempre dispuesto.

On trouve des bricoleurs pour tout : une ruelle complète de cordonniers tous affairés à recoudre une botte béante ou à reclouer une vieille semelle à la langue pendante, des allées pleines du mercado consacrées au reprisage des vêtements de toutes sortes avec des tissus de toutes origines, des repaires huileux de garagistes de toutes allégeances, des racoins remplis de remodeleurs de téléphones démodés, de bizouneurs d'électronique tout azimuth, de patenteurs d'électro-ménagers toutes marques et toutes époques confondues, de besogneurs de bébelles incongrues, de bidouilleurs de bécanes tarabiscotées, de réanimateurs de montres aux aiguilles mortes, de chirurgiens de poupées estropiées, d'écrivains fumants courant des doigts sur des machines à écrire cliquetantes, de tourneurs de pièces insolites, bref des rafistoleurs de tout genre d'objets à l'état d'entropie avancé. Si vous possédez quelque chose qui ne fonctionne plus, prenez cinq minutes pour vous informer et on vous orientera vers votre sauveur attitré. Alors qu'un peuple qui n'achète que du neuf ne démontre qu'un simple pouvoir d'achat augmenté, un autre qui fait et refait avec ce qu'il a fait preuve de débrouillardise. Ici, les choses vivent, se transforment et durent.
Même dans l'art de la décoration, tout est réemployé suivant les contours d'une inspirante ingéniosité. Les vieux plastiques trouvent un nouvel usage dans divers secteurs comme celui des abat-jours, des porte-manteaux, des vases et autres accessoires. On les épingle sur les murs pour en faire des jardins muraux, on les repeint et les suspend au plafond pour enjoliver la luminosité de la pièce. Les débris de métal s'unissent pour créer de nouveaux objets ou s'élèvent pour personnifier des statues étranges. On récupère les fonds de bouteille pour les glisser dans les matériaux servant à la construction de mur ou la devanture colorée d'un comptoir. Les pneus désuets, lissées comme des fesses par l'usure extensive, sont transformés en sculptures surréalistes aux angles arrondis, en pots de fleur extravertis, ou en banquettes de galerie prêtes à recevoir les soupirs d'un couple d'amoureux. En fait, la praticalité de l'objet nouveau l'emporte souvent sur l'esthétisme, rendant l'oeuvre encore plus charmante, plus authentique. On rentabilise l'objet. Et qu'on aime ou pas, cet art de la récupération pratiqué actuellement par une écrasante majorité de l'humanité est aussi celui du futur global. Ou demain ne sera tout simplement plus.
Les déplacements routiers, aussi, sont maximisés. Les véhicules transportant un seul occupant sont plus rares. Grâce à un système de transport en commun terriblement efficace, quoique peu soucieux des règles générales de conduite sécuritaire, on peut se rendre dans les moindres replis de la région, et même du pays, simplement en patientant un moment sur le bord du chemin, en ville comme en campagne. Quelques minutes, pas plus, et un colectivo passera pour vous emporter vers un autre minivan, puis un autre, puis un autre, jusqu'où bon vous enchante. Les usagers s'empilent les uns sur les autres et on part. On prend tout le monde, et tout ce qui vient avec. On embarque les paniers de pains énormes, les sacs d'épiceries débordants, les instruments de musique biscornus, les gros vélos des étrangers. Et si ça n'entre pas, on attache la marchandise sur le toit. Et zou ! on décolle vers le prochain voyageur. Que le pèlerin se rende jusqu'au terminal, que l'ouvrière descende au village voisin, que le marcheur paresseux n'aille pas plus loin qu'au dépanneur à cinq coins de rue plus haut, tous ceux qui sont sur le bord du chemin, on les accepte et on voit le tarif avec le préposé. Une femme brandit des documents sur le côté de la route pour les donner à l'assistant du chauffeur, lui indiquant à quel coin de rue les livrer et à qui, “devant la rôtisserie, au gros gars en veston bleu SVP”; un conducteur de véhicule de livraison en panne au beau milieu de nulle part transfère son chargement de bouteilles de lait afin qu'il arrive à temps au prochain village, en demandant qu'on lui rapporte, au retour, telle pièce pour remettre son véhicule en état de marche; une mère dépose son enfant sur les genoux d'une grand-mère inconnue et annonce au préposé où il doit se rendre avant de l'embrasser, le garçon allant même jusqu'à s'endormir sur la confortable grand-maman du moment, habitué qu'il est à ce rituel (après tout, une grand-maman, c'est une grand-maman). Comme une énorme fraternité, même au travers d'une agglomération de 100 000 habitants. C'est parfois déroutant de beauté.
Ici on ne peut pas éviter les autres. Que le ciel rayonne de soleil ou qu'il pleuve, la rue est toujours bondée. Les parcs, les parvis des églises, les trottoirs : emplis de groupes de gens occupés à bavarder, à flâner. Pas une seule journée sans une parade à quelque part, sans une fanfare funéraire au détour d'une ruelle, puis une autre célébrant Saint-Machin-de-Riquiqui. Au centre-ville, une manifestation sur le boulevard attire les regards, une marche d'étudiants agités déambule, des marchés de rue s'érigent à partir de rien dans divers recoins de la ville avant de disparaitre le soir venu. Quelque fois, le samedi, on croise une corvée : pendant une demie-journée, toute une communauté se rassemble pour effectuer une tâche qui ne revient à personne en particulier, mais qui profite à tous. Ramasser le parc, nettoyer les faussés. Et le dimanche, le calme. C'est la journée consacrée à la famille. Et aux buveurs de bières accoudés sur des tables improvisées ou regroupés sur le trottoir d'un dépanneur. Le vivre ensemble est dans les moindres crevasses du quotidien.
Et cette socialité accrue se reflète dans la manière d'aborder les autres, dans l'aisance qu'ont les gens à tisser une relation avec un étranger, qu'il soit issu de son propre pays ou d'un autre. En Amérique latine, je suis toujours surpris de constater combien on en vient rapidement à échanger ses coordonnées. On nous demande notre numéro de téléphone après cinq minutes de conversation et quoi qu'il arrive, même si c'est à l'autre bout du pays, on nous demande d'appeler sans hésiter et on se débrouillera pour aider d'une manière ou d'une autre. Un cycliste français m'a raconté que, suite à un incident survenu à La Paz, en Bolivie, il a été amené aux urgences. Le soir même, alors qu'il sortait de l'hôpital, un inconnu s'est présenté. Il s'est informé de son état, lui a demandé s'il avait un hébergement et lui a offert de le raccompagner en voiture. Tout simplement. La copine argentine de sa soeur, depuis le pays voisin, avait appelé quelqu'un qui en avait rejoint un autre, et ainsi de suite. Et le tout s'est réalisé dans la plus cordiale des rencontres. Des humains qui font la chaine pour en aider un autre, sachant qu'un jour ils auront peut-être aussi besoin d'une assistance providentielle.
On pense que c'est le manque de ressource financière qui réduit les gens à être autant obligés envers les autres, et que c'est la nécessité qui les rend débrouillards. On dit que la pauvreté rapproche les gens, et ainsi on croit à tort que la normalité, c'est d'être méfiant envers les étrangers. On dit que le dénuement ramène les gens vers un mode de vie plus astucieux, plus débrouillard, et ainsi on pense de travers que la normalité, c'est de toujours racheter en neuf, au moindre petit bris. En fait, on doit revirer tout ça de l'autre bord : c'est le surplus d'argent et sa poursuite qui éloigne des autres, qui isole en faisant croire à sa propre autonomie, qui rend méfiant, et qui brime la chance de développer toute l'ampleur de sa débrouillardise.

There are handymen for everything: a whole alleyway full of shoemakers, all busy stitching up a gaping boot or repairing an old sole with its tongue hanging out, alleys full of the mercado devoted to mending clothes of all kinds with fabrics of all origins, oily haunts of garage mechanics of all stripes, corners full of remodellers of obsolete phones, restorers of all kinds of electronics, , repairer of household appliances of all makes and all eras, tinkerer of incongruous gadgets, reanimators of dead-watch hands, surgeons of crippled dolls, smoky writers running their fingers over rattling typewriters, makers of unusual parts, in short, trifler with all kinds of objects in an advanced state of entropy. If you have something that no longer works, take five minutes to find out about it and we'll point you in the direction of your appointed saviour. While people who only buy new things are simply demonstrating increased purchasing power, others who make do and remake with what they have are demonstrating resourcefulness. Here, things live, change and last.
Even in the art of decoration, everything is repurposed with inspiring ingenuity. Old plastics find new uses in a variety of sectors, including lampshades, coat racks, vases and other containers. They are pinned to walls to make wall gardens, repainted and hung from the ceiling to change the brightness of the room. Scraps of metal are combined to form new objects or raised to personify strange figures. Bottle bottoms are salvaged and slipped into wall-building materials or the colourful front of a counter. Obsolete tyres, smoothed like buttocks by extensive wear and tear, are transformed into surreal sculptures, extraverted flowerpots or gallery benches ready to receive the sighs of a loving couple. In fact, the practicality of the new object often outweighs its aesthetic appeal, making it even more charming and authentic. The object is profitable. And, like it or not, the art of recycling currently practised by the overwhelming majority of humanity is also the art of the global future. Or tomorrow will be no more.
Road travel, too, is highly maximised. Single occupant vehicles are almost non-existent. Thanks to an incredibly efficient public transport system, though with little regard for the general rules of the road, you can get to every corner of the region, and even the country, simply by standing by the side of the road for a while, in town or country. A few minutes, no more, and a colectivo will pass by to take you to another minivan, then another, then another, to wherever you please. The passengers pile on top of each other and off we go. We take everyone, and everything that comes with them. We take the huge baskets of bread, the overflowing grocery bags, the incongruous musical instruments, the big bikes of foreigners. And if it doesn't fit, we strap the goods to the roof. And off we go to the next passenger. Whether the customer goes as far as the terminal, whether the worker goes down to the next village, whether the lazy walker only goes to the convenience store five blocks up the road, everyone who stands in the way is taken on board and the fare is discussed with the attendant. A woman holds up documents on the side of the road to give to the driver's assistant, telling him which corner to deliver to and to whom, "in front of the rotisserie, to the big guy in the blue jacket please"; a delivery driver who has broken down in the middle of nowhere transfers his load of milk bottles so that it arrives in time at the next village, asking that on the way back he be given a certain part to get his vehicle back in working order; a mother places her young child on the lap of an unknown grandmother and tells the attendant where he has to go before kissing him, the boy even going so far as to fall asleep on the comfortable grandmother of the moment, accustomed as he is to this ritual (after all, a grandmother is a grandmother). Like a huge fraternity, even across a conurbation of 100,000 inhabitants. The beauty of it is sometimes bewildering.
Here you can't avoid other people. Whether the sky is shining or it's raining, the streets are always crowded. The parks, church squares and pavements are filled with groups of people chatting and strolling. Not a single day goes by without a parade somewhere, a funeral marching band at the bend of an alleyway, then another celebrating Santa-Something. In the city centre, a demonstration on the boulevard catches the eye, a march of restless students wanders around, street markets spring up from nothing in various corners of the city before disappearing in the evening. Occasionally, on a Saturday, we come across a chore: for half a day, an entire community comes together to carry out a task that falls to no one in particular, but that benefits everyone. Clean up the park and the faults. And on Sunday, peace and quiet. It's a day dedicated to the family. And beer-drinkers leaning against improvised tables or huddled together on the pavement of a convenience store. Living together is in the smallest cracks of everyday life..
And this increased sociality is reflected in the way people approach others, in the ease with which they forge a relationship with a stranger, whether from their own country or another. In Latin America, I'm always surprised at how quickly we come to exchange contact details. We're asked for our phone number after five minutes of conversation and whatever happens, even if it's at the other end of the country, we're asked to call without hesitation and we'll manage to help in one way or another. A French cyclist told me that, following an incident in La Paz, Bolivia, he was taken to emergency. That evening, as he was leaving hospital, a stranger turned up. He enquired about his condition, asked if he had any accommodation and offered to drive him home. Quite simply. His sister's Argentinian girlfriend, from the neighbouring country, had called someone who had met someone else, and so on. And it all happened in the most cordial of encounters. One human being helping another, knowing that one day they too may need providential assistance.
It is thought that it is the lack of financial resources that makes people so dependent on others, and that it is necessity that makes them resourceful. It's said that poverty brings people together, and so it's believed that the norm is to be suspicious of strangers. It's said that deprivation leads people to a more astute, more resourceful lifestyle, and so we think that normality means always buying new things, at the slightest break. In fact, you have to look at it from the other side: it's the surplus of money and its pursuit that distances from others, isolates by making people believe in their own autonomy, makes them suspicious, and curtails the chance to develop the full extent of their resourcefulness.
