Our boys are part of Troop 22 from Jamesville, New York. A small group of boys started work on the Hiking Merit Badge earlier this year and planned all of their hikes along the portion North Country Trail that runs through Central New York. After several chilly hikes in the spring, some warm hikes in the summer, and a few chilly late fall hikes the boys completed their merit badge. They also did the extra miles required to complete the 100 mile challenge. It was a lot of fun and the boys learned a lot on the days they spent hiking.
