This fume extractor is made of:
- polystyrene sheet;
- two 80 mm coolers from dead ATX PSUs;
- aquarium filter sheets;
- rocker switch;
- barrel jack receptacle;
- some wires and foam insulation strips.
All parts were hot-glued, bottom lid mounted on double-sided adhesive tape. Device is powered from 12V/1A wall PSU.

Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms was on duty in the Prince's Chamber and The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Royal Gallery.
The Queen's Bargemaster and Watermen were on duty.
The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Household and the Pages of Honour to The Queen (Lord Stanley, Jack Soames, Andrew Leeming and Arthur Chatto) were in attendance at the Palace of Westminster.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness returned to Buckingham Palace and were received by the Lord Chamberlain and the Vice-Chamberlain of the Household."

ODOT research Engineer Matt Mabey performs field work on a project researching climate change, hydrology and water quality.
The box is made of cardboard, glued with PVA. Uses a flexible pipe to emit fume/smoke out. When not in use, box acts as a container for the pipe to save space. The two parts are held together by couple of neodymium magnets and screws.
This is what I made :) Buttermilk pancakes topped with a fresh blueberry sauce. Washed down with a tall glass of OJ!

This dentist's tool is an early type of tooth extractor known as a 'dental key', dating from the early 19th century, which has an ebony cross-bar handle and cranked steel shaft. Ouch. In earlier times, barbers commonly carried out surgical bleeding and tooth extractions in addition to shaving and cutting hair!
As per its name, a shive extractor is the traditional tool for removing a shive bung from an emptied cask.
But...for broaching a cask, a shive extractor is also my preferred tool. Using it to knock in the tut in the shive bung is more convenient than hammering in a hard spile.

Again the 16 mm. socket is used. The simple rod is adequate for applying sufficient force to simply push the crank arm off of the bottom bracket axle.
Some feel the tool was designed with just a short simple rod to ensure a user would fasten the crank bolt down, but without risk of applying too much torque.
Don't need no fancy torque wrenches here!

Quickly improvised fume extractor.
It's made from a scavenged 12v cooling fan and a couple of grids. The filter material is active carbon which I got a petstore. It's for cat litterboxes.
I'm not sure how effective it is in removing the fumes - but it does at least suck the fumes away from my face.
