4th April 1885 Indre between Ellen Clay of 2 St. Mildreds Villas. St. Mildreds Road, Ramsgate and William Alexander Hubbard of Ramsgate. Reciting that George Clay, formerly of Goodge Street, Middlesex, Publican by his Will of 4th June 1849 left all his land etc upon Trust to the use of John Godden and George Clay.

Should either of them wish to sell they would need the consent in writing of Ann Clay, his wife and his daughters Ellen Clay, Annie Clay and Isabel Clay.

George Clay died 12th August 1849. His son George Clay died 2nd March 1861. John Godden died and his Will was dated 12th October 1874. William Atkins and John Edward Whitworth named as beneficiaries of the Trust, Executors named as William Atkins and John P. W. Goddon.

Further details are given about whom the Trust passed to and changes of Trustees, also of the deaths of Ann Clay, 11th July 1860, Isabella Clay 14th November 1864, Annie Clay 1st November 1882. 29th October 1904 James Frost died.

Part of the extraordinary Millau Bridge on the peage north of Bezier in the south of France. A very dramatic structure that is very difficult to adequately photograph when you're on it.

Tokyo is saturated with vending machines that sell coffee in cans. When I lived there, the Suntory Corporation extracted quite a few yen from me.

I liked the way the vending machines all switched from cooling the drinks to heating them at exactly the right moment in Autumn. In the Spring, they all switched back, also with perfect timing.

I like the Coffee Boss's attitude and his tin can dictator swagger. In a land where you have to stay in the office until all hours six nights a week, a swig from the can packs a slight vicarious thrill.

I imagined the Coffee Boss barking orders at the Kool Aid Pitcher and that weird little Hawaiian Punch guy -- really pushing them around so that they would know who's boss.

OK ! I am kind of fond of this new coffee mug, which I am here using to extract a double espresso.

今早清冰箱,看到还有EGGNOG剩下,就用它代替考年高了,我用的是这个方子:

1 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup sugar, or 1 cup 如果喜欢甜

1 tsp vanilla or almond extract

4 eggs

2.5 cups combination of coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggnog, evaporated milk, whatever you have at home)

1lb rice flour ( Mochiko or green bag rice flour )

1.5 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

red bean paste, canned or homemade red bean/chestnut paste

topping, shredded conconut, walnuts/pecans

1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar,eggs, vanilla and milk, well blended.

3. In a separate larger bowl, stir together the rice flour, baking powder and salt.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and stir to blend.

5. Pour half of the batter into 9x13 inch baking sheet and bake for 10 min.

6. Spread red beans and top with walnuts, and pour rest of the batter, top with

walnuts and shredded coconut if desired.

7. Bake for 20min. Cool , then cut into squares to serve.
