Focus: Strengthens back extensors and core stabilization

Begin on all fours in a tabletop position with the spine in neutral; hands just below the shoulders and knees just under the hips (not shown). On an exhale reach opposite arm and opposite leg straight out, on an inhale bring both back to starting position (refer to modified swimming image above). Repeat on other side. Try to maintain a stable torso without shifting the weight forward or back; this can be done by focusing on pulling in the deeper abdominals. Also watch that the head stays in its neutral position and eyes are gazing between the hands at all times. Perform 8-10 reaches on each side.
