The brown anole Anolis sagrei is small, semi-arboreal ("trunk-ground") lizard with relatively long toes and reduced toe pad surfaces (relative to congeners), well suited for running and jumping (Williams 1983, Campbell 2002).Color is variable, ranging from light gray to brown to almost black, commonly with irregular patches or mottled patterns, spots, chevrons and a series of light-colored lines. The tail is somewhat laterally compressed. A prominent identifying feature of this species is the extensible dewlap or throat fan which can be yellow to red-orange in color and is used in territorial and mating displays.

A wild tangent inspired by Dominik Strzelec's Processing demo of catenary curves in Toxiclibs.
I was curious about the simulation aspect and how it might relate to parametric modeling, but then I added some basic color shading and promptly forgot about everything else. Sketches like these don't really have a defined place in my current practice and I usually only get to show them in lectures, so by now I have a growing elephant graveyard of code sketches like these.
I'm embarrassed to say this is the first time I've seriously used Toxiclibs for more than 20 minutes. It really is a thing of beauty and contains some very powerful tools once you figure out Karsten's code structure. Most coders tend towards idiosyncracy and Karsten is no exception, but his manifests itself in the form of well-thought out and extensible code structures while mine are far less elegant.
I plan to post a version of my sketch on OpenProcessing as a nod to Dominik for using his code. The physical simulation is still Toxiclibs, but I've moved all rendering, GUI and meshing to Modelbuilder for my own convenience's sake.

The Oliver's frame is custom made from aluminum, so it will not rust and it is much lighter weight than the typical steel. It features an extensible tongue that can telescope forward to lower the tongue weight on the to tow vehicle. This will also allow for more space for the tongue-mounted generator basket we are having attached, and it will hopefully allow for enough clearance so that we can continue to mount our bike rack on the back of our Jeep. On the right side, the retractable trailer step is built right into the frame. In the back, the rear bumper is hinged and it opens downward to reveal a storage area.
This custom frame meshes perfectly with the Oliver's fiberglass shell, and it will allow the long and flat fresh and grey water tanks to sit low nestled right in the bottom, giving the trailer a low center of gravity.
Our Oliver has the now-standard 4" axel lift, aluminum wheels, and 15" tires - an upgrade from the 14" tires on the earliest Olivers. This extra ground clearance will come in very handy for heading off road.

"The U.S. Department of Agriculture South Building is an office building located at 14th Street and Independence Avenue, Southwest, Washington, D.C.
It was built beginning in 1930, to house the expanded offices of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Construction was completed on the U.S. Department of Agriculture Administration Building to the north of Independence Avenue in 1930, but Depression-era agriculture programs demanded far more office space than the main building could provide. The phased construction was completed in 1936. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
Completed in 1936, the South Building was the largest office building in the world until the completion of the Pentagon, with dimensions of 458 feet (140 m) by 944 feet (288 m) in seven stories with 4500 rooms. The building's design is credited to Louis A. Simon of the Federal Office of the Supervising Architect. The South Building was joined to the Administration Building by two enclosed pedestrian bridges spanning Independence Avenue, thus consolidating USDA operations into one complex. The new building contained laboratory space as well as offices. It was originally referred to as the "Extensible Building", which could be expanded in a phased fashion. Phasing was necessary due to the time required to acquire such a large parcel of land.
The architecture of the South Building is a stripped-down example of Classicism, with plain detailing that borrows from Classical form and proportion without using a great deal of expensive and time-consuming detail. The style became popular for government buildings until the advent of the Modern style in government architecture, reaching its apex at the Pentagon. In the case of the South Building, the lesser level of detail indicated its subordinate position vis-à-vis the Administration Building. The interior is based on a rigidly-enforced network of corridors; only the departmental auditorium and library deviate from the corridor grid. Interiors are even more plain than the exterior.
The building is arranged in seven north-south wings, connected at the ends by the Headhouse (facing Independence Avenue) and Tailhouse (facing C Street). The 12th and 14th Street elevations were planned to be seen from the National Mall and so were sheathed in limestone. The C Street and Independence Avenue elevations, which are not visible from the National Mall, used brick as the primary material, with limestone and terra cotta detailing. The 14th Street elevation also features a monumental entrance with sixteen Corinthian columns. Elsewhere, relief panels between windows feature depictions of animals native to the United States by sculptor Edwin Morris.
Since the relocation of laboratory space to the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, the South Building has been occupied exclusively by offices.
Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia, also known as just Washington or simply D.C., is the capital city and federal district of the United States. It is located on the east bank of the Potomac River, which forms its southwestern and southern border with the U.S. state of Virginia, and it shares a land border with the U.S. state of Maryland on its other sides. The city was named for George Washington, a Founding Father and the first president of the United States, and the federal district is named after Columbia, the female personification of the nation. As the seat of the U.S. federal government and several international organizations, the city is an important world political capital. The U.S. Constitution provides for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of Congress; the district is not a part of any U.S. state (nor is it one itself). The three branches of the U.S. federal government are centered in the district: Congress (legislative), the president (executive), and the Supreme Court (judicial). Washington is home to many national monuments and museums, primarily situated on or around the National Mall. The city hosts 177 foreign embassies as well as the headquarters of many international organizations, trade unions, non-profits, lobbying groups, and professional associations, including the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund, the Organization of American States, AARP, the National Geographic Society, the American Red Cross, and others.
A locally elected mayor and a 13-member council have governed the district since 1973. Congress maintains supreme authority over the city and may overturn local laws. The District of Columbia does not have representation in Congress, although D.C. residents elect a single at-large congressional delegate to the House of Representatives who has no vote. The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

This bird is atypical for a Snow/Ross's x Canada/Cackling in that there is rater limited white on head. It is closer to the size of CACG than most of these hybrids, but is still looked smaller in the field over a period of prolonged observation. Also, there is no grin patch, and the bill is no longer than that of a Cackling. Notably, bill length and depth of Ross's Goose overlaps extensible with Richardson's Cackling, with Snow averaging distinctly larger in both.
The 7-12 foot open top blade is a great addition to any fleet of tractors.
It can be mounted to a three point hitch, a subframe or a loader.

an interesting case study in the demand for an extensible architecture that won't come at the expense of aesthetic refinement of the host structure. people who live inside of buildings do not share the same incentives nor the the aesthetic point of view as a developer.

The clam worms are very common inhabitants of intertidal and coastal marine habitats. This particular beastie came from a sediment core as part of a larger project in which we are monitoring the development of ecosystem function in restored salt marshes in coastal Alabama.
Note the HUGE jaws behind the eyes. These chitonous structures are located on an extensible pharynx which is pulled in like an inside-out sock.

Bellevue Bugt - Arne Jacobsen, 1960-1961. Jacobsen has a few projects from this period that appear to pick up on some general tendencies of Team X at this time - low, horizontal buildings, orthogonal in plan, with lots of "L"s of space. (His housing at Hansaviertel in Berlin is a similar proposition.)
These aren't mat buildings, though - the project is one house deep, and some more designing would have to happen before it could be made extensible. The DNA is there, however; in the Munkegaards school you start to see something more recognizably in dialogue with the Smithsons or Candilis.
