Picture the Holidays Day 7: Express Yourself

There's cold and there's rain, but I'm dry enough under my umbrella, and I'm headed toward the light. That's my life -- things are getting better, but we're not entirely out of the storm yet.

I'm also grasping for inspiration. I've done this photo before. Not exactly this, but I've shot bokeh from under my bubble umbrella a few times already. I'm having trouble recently seeing new things in the day-to-day.

I'm not feeling up for selfies lately (Tracey's non-obligatory suggestion), but I think this says enough.

Ma il coraggio è anche questo. La consapevolezza che l'insuccesso fosse comunque il frutto di un tentativo. Che talvolta è meglio perdersi sulla strada di un viaggio impossibile che non partire mai.

It's called the Merlion because it has the head of a Lion and the body of a Mermaid. The Merlion has served Singapore well.

Climbing the high mountain all for the love of photography.

Hi yas, Becky’s here.

Just so you know; my computer may JUST of got back to normal now and just in time. So basically, I can now be on here more regularly. What a special gift to have as I am now 14!

And what’s even more is that a little while aback; I won a place to have the picture that you’re currently seeing to be published into a book call; “Express Yourself – School Artists”! It’s a self-portrait of my self with animal-like characteristics. I picked this style because I became very interested with anime as it helped me to build my abilities in art. I know that art isn’t all based on drawing cartoons but I do love drawing in a variety of different styles. This style also comes from Japan which is one of my favourite countries, even though I’m English and I can’t speak any Japanese at all. I still like Japan as it’s inspiring.

(^_^)

Oh yeah, just one more thing… when I scanned this picture into my scanner, I kind of didn’t have time to get rid of all the bits of dog fluff – I’m sorry about that! And this may be my last picture that I will put on here unless I upgrade.

(>_<)

But anyway, enjoy!

Wyoming is a western U.S. state defined by vast plains and the Rocky Mountains. Its famed Yellowstone National Park, a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area, is home to hundreds of animal species, dramatic canyons and alpine rivers. The park's gushing geysers include the iconic Old Faithful. To the south is Grand Teton National Park, known for backcountry skiing areas, forested trails and Snake River.

Bonsecours Market (French: Marché Bonsecours), at 350 rue Saint-Paul in Old Montreal, is a two-story domed public market. For more than 100 years, it was the main public market in the Montreal area. It also briefly accommodated the Parliament of United Canada for one session in 1849.

Named for the adjacent Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, it opened in 1952. During 1849 the building was used for the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada. The market's design was influenced by Dublin's Customs House. Construction of this Palladian style building began in 1844 and was designed by British architect William Footner.

A kalesa or calesa (sometimes called a karitela) is a horse-driven calash (carriage) used in the Philippines. The word, also spelled calesa, predates the Spanish conquest and descends ultimately from an Old Church Slavonic word meaning "wheels." (Source:Wikipedia)
