Four pieces by David Smith in the Royal Academy's courtyard, part of its excellent Abstract Expressionism exhibition. Slightly to my surprise, I found I really liked the Jackson Pollock paintings now.

Nanaimo Expressionism - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 - Photographer Russell McNeil PhD (Physics) lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia where he works also as a writer and a personal trainer.

Paint watered down and put in small dots onto a canvas, then the canvas was spun around until desired "mix" was seen.

Robert Natus was an Estonian architect. His best known work is the current City Hall of Tallinn, built in 1932

Rabbus Samaawaat [Lord of the Heavens] is a Name of Allah from the Qura'n. It is painted in the style of Islamic Symbolic Abstract Expressionism. Oil on canvas.
