Carlo Crivelli (1430-1494 / 5) - Coronation of the Virgin with the Trinity and saints (1493) oil and tempera on panel - dimensions 225 x 225 cm - Pinacoteca di Brera - Milan

The Coronation, Crivelli’s last recorded work, is a stiff, crowded and richly decorated scene in which Christ and the Virgin are seated on a throne raised above the ground by a group of angels whose mouths appear to be emitting golden rays. The Dead Christ, on the other hand, is remarkable for its concentrated intensity of expression culminating in the play of the figures’ hands and the book whose pages flutter in a breeze that also causes the candle to gutter.

Due to sensitive concern on the original title, I now just keep it neutral. Explore highest position: 23 on Wednesday, March 18, 2009

One of my dearest person in life. My friend Vijay in all his moods and giggles.

Street art in Valparaíso, Chile, began flourishing in the 1990s, becoming a symbol of the city’s cultural and political expression. Emerging post-dictatorship, it allowed artists to voice social issues and beautify the urban landscape. Today, Valparaíso is renowned for its vibrant murals, with an estimated 1,500 works of art adorning its hills and historic buildings . The city’s open-air galleries attract tourists and artists worldwide, contributing to urban renewal and cultural identity . Supported by local communities and government, street art remains a vital and evolving part of Valparaíso’s heritage
