On Saturday 18th February 2012, and amazing collection of local artists came together at the Millfield Arts Centre, in Silver Street, Edmonton, to raise money for the Nightingale Hospice. The taking of photographs during the performance was impossible, so this set was taken at the rehearsal, which took place throughout the day.

Note that as this is a rehearsal, none of the acts are in costume!

Please see my blogpost about the show at Silver Street Social

We were all freezing to death out in the garage today during our Sunday get-together. The weather was sub-zero, the wind was howling, and we were working in the studio with three heaters going. These portraits worth the frost-bitten fingers and the three lost toes though. (Just kidding on the toes and fingers.)

Shad put on a "why are we in the garage facing frost bite and possibly a slow agonizing death from freezing" face for this dramatic portrait.

I had one jtl mobilight behind him to the left of the camera. the background was a piece of felt from Wal-Mart (I'm not sure what I did with my velvet I picked up a few years ago).

A risk-taking, water-soaked exploration of the universal need to migrate. This daring large-scale outdoor production weaves together extreme physicality, a stunning soundtrack, intricate imagery and strange yet familiar characters.

In a world of dangers, high seas and troubled lands, CARGO tells the tale of two people and their quest for the perfect place to call home. Filled with adventurers, exiles, conquerors and slaves, CARGO explores the primal urge of humans to leave their country of origin, whether it be for a better life, to escape a past, for a new way of living, or to find... themselves
