July 4th is one of the only few days in the year where as Americans, we set off bursts of flame-like lights into the sky. When I was capturing this, you can see several fireworks show spanning across the San Francisco bay. It is amazing to see a day where we all unite and join together in celebrating our independence and freedom as a nation. It is a day where we all relate as Americans and remember those that fought for our nation. It is also a day where we can watch a spectacular light show.

Pacifica Pier, Feb 2011
I just couldn't help myself. The sky was exploding with color and I had to capture it. This was my fourth time visiting the pier around sunset and the first time there was an actual sunset. It's been a while since I've seen a pacific sunset, quite a spectacular treat.
All comments, critiques and feedback both positive and negative welcome.

I love the magic of fireworks, especially looking up to the spectacular ending filling the sky with explosions. When I looked down, I saw the same glory in these simple buttonwood weed bush. It has the same feel, the same sequence of old/dying to new/budding. I love the textures and the matchstick look to the petals before they explode into bloom. The wonder of a small weed can give joy too!

What Resistance Trooper really hate about Coffee Fields? Definitely being hit by coffee Explosions. Not only they make you jump but also they make you nervous for the whole day and sleepless the following night.
This is one of the first experiment with object in movement. I hope the result is far better than the condition of my kitchen after throwing so much coffee around :)
Good afternoon flickr friends. I hope your day is going well for you all. I really think that this is a cool flower and if you look close enough you will see water drops on it.
The sunset did not look promising, with low grey clouds. Then the sun dipped under the cloud deck and the red burn spread until the sky exploded in this blaze. It lasted just a few minutes.
This photo is one frame of the time lapse that comes next in my photo stream. Trying time lapse is teaching me how sunsets evolve.

One from last night's local fireworks display....not as easy to photograph as I thought it would be; the internet made it sound so easy....LOL!!!!!
