This was the day when Eugene flew in to accent to Whitney but unfortunately due to the weather we had to postpone it for later. We stayed overnight in Alabama Hills, which allowed me to take a few shots of the sunrise from the valley (I bet itās even better from the Inyos) Yes, we did a quick scout over to the e-ledges and this is where we got stuck.. not to mention that by that time my water bottle was completely frozen.

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filtersā¦the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

A place without being
a thought without thinking
creatively, two dimensions
suspended animation
possibly a perfect imitation
of what was then to see.
A frozen memory in synthetic colour
or black and white instead,
fantasy dreams in magazines
become imbedded inside my head.
Artistic views
surrealistic hues,
a photographerās instinctive eye:
for he does as he pleases
up to that point he releases,
then develops a visual high.

We are passionate about bringing a relaxed approach while creating beautiful, natural and vibrant images.
This was the third day of Eugeneās trip to CA in February of 2018. After failed attempt to summit Whitney and a miserable next day attempt on Morgan South we headed up the Death Valley for some warm and welcoming weather. Meeting the sunrise was decided with Mainly Beacon as a main subject, so we did scaling one of the the hills nearing the golden canyon. Funny enough it was my third time going this route but the first time actually meeting sunrise (kind of always wanted). One thing we didnāt account for was that golden canyon is a canyon (duh) and the actual sun appeared quite late, making colors a bit less saturated.. It was beautiful regardless.
We headed to Nopah Peak right after that to meet Rob, Jose and Cindyā¦ Winter time is a DPS time folksā¦ considerā¦
