Saturday Night in Sausalito with Swee
A store window beckons with its flash of color just waiting for discovery. A sweep of red with complimentary and colorful highlights stands out in the reflected face of glass. An unexpected shape via the street light adds punctuation and a colorful neighbor tries to intrude adding more detail within the frame. Negative space allows rest for my eye and hides mysteries within its darkness. The sun does its job – showing off reflectively what I want to see and obscuring the rest.

This one is taken at 11:30pm local time. I think it’s quite awesome that you can still see the orange hue from the sun in the horizon, blueish sky, some aurora colors, part of the milky way and a lot of stars on an already black background all in one single exposure! The transition moment before the total darkness of the night fell and the stars and the auroras really took over. And on top of everything the aurora colored milky way is like the transition zone from dusk to darkness! we found this waterfall on the side of the road as we drove up to Mary’s Peak in Oregon…. it was a brilliant surprise as we took in the landscape, smells and feel of the area.

The last few months I have been putting together my first photo zine called Layover. The zine is made up of images I captured on two layovers during my flight back from Europe. The photographs tell a story of how one experiences layovers. They show the loneliness that one can feel between flights. From sitting in a row by yourself reading a book, playing with your smartphone and listening to music, to falling asleep while waiting for your next flight. Whatever it was, everyone experiences a layover differently. We all can relate on a personal level to some of these images.
All images were shot on a Lomography LC-A 120. Films used were Lomo Lady Grey 400, Ilford HP5+ 400 both pushed to 1600 and Delta 3200 shot @ 1600. All development and scanning were done by myself.

I was doing some random shooting, Memorial Day Weekend, and was trying to take shots of my shirt on the balcony of my apartment. I'm passionate about fashion and one of my favorite brands is "Billionaire Boys Club," by Pharrell Williams.
I stood in front of my camera, and just started shooting, remotely. When I looked at the shots I took, I noticed that this shot had a little bit of detail in the background, even though it wasn't meant to be in focus.
When I finally uploaded it to Lightroom, I started playing with the settings... Turned down the darks, shadows, added a gradient and dehazed it a bit... The sky began to open up to me as if I was ascending up into heaven. I know that may be reaching for the extreme, but I couldn't think of any other way to describe the way I felt about this shot. It was an honest mistake, but a mistake I can live with...
