A male Eastern Hellbender (Cryptobranchus allegheniensis) out on the prowl for food during nesting season. These animals are among my favorites, and will always hold a special place in my heart. I love snorkeling alongside them and just watching them do hellbender things.

I took a drive through the Island Beach State Park in New Jersey.. It's over 10 miles of pure white sand beach. The island is a short strip of land between the Atlantic ocean and Barnegat Bay. With temps in the 20's and storm clouds all around, I was pretty much alone on the beach. Shortly after taking this shot the surf covered my shoes, so it wasn't fun trudging back to the car with cold squishy shoes.
This planetary explorer (factory name: “PEX-1ML”) was designed as a mobile base (serving also as a laboratory and an observatory). It has all the necessary equipment to explore terrain of new planets. Its drivetrain and suspension was built to handle very rough terrain, while its body was constructed from materials that can withstand almost any weather conditions.

Putting together a stranger shot, as already said by other people, is not just pressing a camera trigger: you need to find a good location with proper lighting, choose a good model, use the right camera settings, interact with the model and then there's the presentation work. Today, rather than walking around looking for a good location, was all about finding some good model: I still find extremely difficult to spot and stop adults, but I will hopefully manage to do that one day.
Stefania was walking with her friend (forgot her name, I'm so sorry about it!) and I stopped them explaining the project: they seemed to be interested in this but a bit shocked by this encounter. I showed them some of my previous shots and Stefania agreed to be my next stranger. After taking a couple of shots of the two girlfriends, I showed Stefania where to stand and fired off some shots.
Stefania seemed to enjoy this and I took the time to explain her how to use the QR code on my cards; some more shooting and that was it.
Thank you Stefania for becoming my stranger #20.
Please get in touch if you want me to send you the other images

Once in a while I enjoy pastrami (first cut) with a little mustard on a ciabatta roll. What's your favorite cold-cuts sandwich?
Stena Explorer is a high-speed ferry owned by Stena Line and operated on their Holyhead–Dún Laoghaire service between Great Britain and Ireland. It is a member of the HSS 1500 class of high-speed ferries introduced and developed by Stena Line from 1996 onwards. The HSS 1500 class vessels are the largest catamarans in the world.
Stena Explorer was constructed by Finnyards in Rauma, Finland, at a cost £65 million. Construction commenced in June 1994 and was completed in February 1996, before entering service in April 1996.
The vessel is a catamaran, and was designed with the aim of providing a comfortable and fast service. The sailing time between Holyhead and Dún Laoghaire is 119 minutes.
Power is provided by four GE Aviation gas turbines in a twin combined gas and gas (COGAG) configuration. The vessel employs four Kamewa waterjets for propulsion.
The HSS class of ferries were designed to allow quick turnarounds at port. A specially designed linkspan provides ropeless mooring and allows quick loading, unloading and servicing. Vehicles are loaded via two of the four stern doors and park in a "U" configuration. When disembarking, vehicles drive straight off via the other two doors.

No hay rincón en esta casa
que no te haga regresar.
Cada grano de memoria,
y la casa es un arenal.
Fuí a tus playas por el día
y allí me quedé dos años.
Fuí lamiendo tus heridas,
fuiste dándome un remanso.
A la sombra de tu luna
se acunó mi corazón,
se borraron mis arrugas,
mi casa se iluminó.
Germinaron más canciónes
de las que yo merecía,
se paró el reloj de arena,
730 días.

No edit beauty.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

A landscape photographer feels the need to explore new places to satisfy his line of continuity. When he finds it, he begins a process of studying possibilities related to the climate, the most interesting events of the day to complement them, the position of the sun according to its orientation, etc... And if the sea is part of this, the state of the tides and the size of the waves. This place is an example, still in the study phase. At the moment with a sunrise between the golden and blue hours.
