It’s the rainy season all along eastern Canada right now, but that’s no excuse to stay indoors. Especially, when surrounded by architecture that seems ready-made to stand out in the drizzle and fog.
Looks like our back yard tree top neighbors had more damage that we did yesterday because of the storm. Time lapse 1000x reveals more movement than first meets the eye in real time. Moncton 8 Sept 2019.

This bird is one of my all time fave springtime meadow song birds. It reminds me of growing up on our family farm in the 1970s and 80s. The audio gives examples of their twittering, bubbly song.
This was shot outside Moncton in a hay field in the early evening.

Every year, on the last weekend of November, Toronto kicks off the holiday season with the Cavalcade of Lights. During the event, the 525,000 twinkling lights on Toronto’s official Christmas tree get lit up. Participants are treated to a skating party complete with fireworks and live music. Since its inauguration in November 2017, this Leonard Cohen mural, a tribute to the late singer, songwriter and poet, has been an icon of Montreal. This massive artwork, by muralists @mac_arte and @genependon, is located at 1420 Crescent Street, in the heart of downtown. Some of the best vantage points to see it include: the Mount Royal Observatory as well as the Glass Court of the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts (@mbamtl). As our own tribute to Cohen, we’d like to leave you with these famous words of his and invite you to share them with a friend : “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” #ExploreCanada : @night.shotz : @montreal, @tourismequebec . Depuis son inauguration en novembre 2017, cette murale de Leonard Cohen à la mémoire du chanteur, auteur-compositeur et poète disparu, est devenue un véritable symbole de Montréal. Spend a night under the stars at Kouchibouguac National Park, on New Brunswick’s Acadian Coastal Route. Kouchibouguac (pronounced koo-she-boo-gwack) means, “river of long tides” in the First Nation’s language, Mi’kmaq. It’s home to some of the warmest salt water north of Virginia and the perfect place to spend a few days with sand between your toes. Don’t miss a stop in to the visitor centre which explains the history of the Kouchibouguac area and includes an interactive museum. #ExploreCanada : @bluegreenorange : @destinationnb , @Parks.Canada . Passez une nuit à la belle étoile au parc national Kouchibouguac, sur la Route du littoral acadien au Nouveau-Brunswick. Dans la langue des Premières Nations mi’kmaq, Kouchibouguac signifie « rivière aux longues marées ». On trouve ici des eaux salées parmi les plus chaudes au nord de la Virginie, et c’est un lieu parfait pour flâner quelques jours les pieds dans le sable. One of the better shots I got tonight of several deer outside of Moncton grazing just before sunset.
This one was quite far away and I had my exposure at 1/8000s in case it moved, and so my ISO was really high -- sorry for the graininess.
