This photo was taken in Belize this year. We took a cruise at the beginning of the year to Belize, Cozumel, and Honduras. This was our second of many future cruises we have planned. In January, the weather in Houston was wet and cold. There was rain scheduled for most of our trip, but we didn't care.
Rain was off and one in Belize and it had begun to clear up when we arrived. Our excursion in Belize was a ruin that the found and had made into a tourist location. I am sure more pictures of the ruins will come up soon, but I decided to post my first photo of a cool picture of a tree against the bright sky. The contrast of trees again the sun is probably one of my favorite things to photograph. But after a while, most of them look alike.
The photo was taken with my current DSRL Canon Rebel T3. The sky seemed like it was brewing more clouds, so the original photo had a mixture of white and grey clouds. I adjusted the settings just a tad to enhance the darkness that was in the storm clouds. Looked a bit cool, so I kept it.

Idyllic beach strip by day, electric seaside suburb by night. English bay is worth a visit at any time of day.
This photo was taken out the window of a moving bus as it took us on a tour of the city as we made our way to the ruins. I have used this photo (before editing) on the website, but I like the old time look of this edit.
I decided to photograph Frank Lloyd Wright's tour in lomo photography which is basically a lo-fi cameras and settings. This is one of the shots of Arizona's classic cactus.
When a city has as many waterways as Vancouver, beautiful skyline reflections are never far away. I'm treated to this particular view everytime I walk home from work at night.
