In Banff Ntl. Park, Alberta A nice easy 10km in and out hike to this beautiful location in the Rockies.

Photograph or Pencil Sketch?

The 2009 Landslide Lake Prescribed Burn along David Thompson Highway 11, Alberta. The fire covered an area of 5,727 hectares. The burn is part of an overall forest management plan for the area.

The light that day was perfect for dramatic B&W images. (In this case Infrared 830nm).

Fully modified Canon EOSR with 830nm filter.

How about that light!

While this photo isn't as large as the last one, I am still able to print this image huge! This one was 10 stitched photos, about 14000 pixels on the long end and set to a 3:1 aspect ratio.

This image and the other panorama, "A River Runs Through" are now available to purchase on my website. Would look great in someone's living room above the couch, or hanging in an office!

St. Albert, Alberta, Canada

You know that feeling when you're just a young child and everything around you feels larger than life? I get that same feeling in the mountains, and I feel like it's the reason why we're so enamoured by them. Anything that can bring you back to feeling like a kid again is just awesome. Get out and explore and discover.

Winter Wonderland

Morning temps ranged from -32C with no wind to -26C with howling wind.

My 1000th photos in Flickr, a little milestone for myself. Thank you for all your like and comments, I'll keep sharing more photos. And just like this photo's name - Never ends.

Took the scenic route and accidentally ended up in a postcard. Crowsnest Mountain flexing in the background like it owns the place (and honestly… it kinda does).

Backroads > main roads. Every time.

This is the second of a series I am doing on the Peace Bridge of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

As I said in my previous image, I shot this bridge a while ago, before I got myself a pro camera and I wanted to go back to show how much I have grown as a photographer since.

I love the architecture of the bridge and think it is very beautiful, so that is what I am trying to get across in my images.

As always, Thanks for viewing and comments are always welcome. :)

One more classic Moraine Lake view.

Sunrise at Bow Lake, Rocky Mountains, Alberta

One need to go to the Rockies, just to understand how tiny we are. Look at those vehicles.. like insects..

What a beautiful night it was outside!

The Crossing. In the 19th century the lonely strangers and fur traders used this spot to cross the North Saskatchewan River on their way to British Columbia.

And like years ago, this place is the only one spot between Lake Louise and Jasper that offers shelter, gas and guest services. But like years ago it is closed in winter.

The Revenant movie with DiCaprio was shot in this region.

Over 500 square miles of tumbling mountain ranges cover the land at Yoho National Park, and despite a majority of the area blanketed predominantly in Douglas fir trees, every corner seemed to provide a breath-taking new view.

Vertical panorama from Abraham lake. I shot the foreground during blue hour - three landscape oriented images. The stars were shot a couple of hours later and were blended into the blue hour pano. The curve was introduced when I merged the panorama and I left it because I liked the unique look.

This emerald river begins in the Rocky Mountains (in the Bow Glacier) and flows to the Oldman River, these two form the South Saskatchewan River. Then these waters meet the Nelson River and flow into Hudson Bay. From ice and snow into the emerald water, through scenic views of Alberta into the waters of Hudson Bay and Arctic Waters...
