Red Rock Coulee is a unique spot in Southern Alberta. The red boulders scattered in this area are among the largest in the world. some are up to 2.5m in diameter, some are still whole and some are shattered like this one here. These boulders were formed in prehistoric seas when layers of sand, calcite and iron oxide collected around a nuclear made up of shells, leaves or bones.
I used an LED panel to light the foreground of this image.
A self portrait taken just after sunrise above Lake Louise. The views of Lake Agnes, Lake Louise, Mount Lefroy and the Victoria glacier are stunning from this spot.

Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta. It was the 3rd night of a short 4 days / 3 nights road trip to the Canadian Rockies. Sure the ride took most of the time. Roughly about 22 hours in total...
I think the time was well spent as for visiting different locations within the limited time we had.
This panorama is combined with 5 vertical shots. Plus one extra shot to under-expo the lights from the house. Blended in Photoshop first before the stitching.
Thank you for viewing!!

In late October I had the chance to spend a weekend out in Canmore, AB and was fortunate enough to get out along the river just as the sun started shining on Grassi, Ha Ling and Rundle Peaks.
Moraine Lake, Alberta, Canada
This image is a six-stitched panorama taken from the Rockpile Trail overlooking the stunning Moraine Lake.
Red topped aurora is relatively rare. They appear during geomagnetic storms that spread far from the poles. Red is caused by oxygen atoms meeting the solar wind as high as 500km above Earth's surface.

In Banff Ntl. Park, Alberta A nice easy 10km in and out hike to this beautiful location in the Rockies.
Captured along the Icefields Parkway Highway (93), Jasper National Park. Infrared image using a fully modified Canon EOSR and an 830nm filter.
The day was absolutely clear and crisp. Never have I seen the mountains this magnificent.
How about that light!
While this photo isn't as large as the last one, I am still able to print this image huge! This one was 10 stitched photos, about 14000 pixels on the long end and set to a 3:1 aspect ratio.
This image and the other panorama, "A River Runs Through" are now available to purchase on my website. Would look great in someone's living room above the couch, or hanging in an office!
Another Moraine Lake view. This time: 4 captures = 1 panorama.

The light caps off the mountain peaks during this two minute long exposure at Bow Lake, in Alberta, Canada.
One of the most beautiful lakes in Alberta. This shot is the special one, may be not the best of my captures, but it shows the scene that I saw in the first seconds at Moraine Lake. A lot of years I had been dreaming about visiting this place. Actually, I had not been even sure that I would see it ever. Let your dreams come true. Cheers!

The 2009 Landslide Lake Prescribed Burn along David Thompson Highway 11, Alberta. The fire covered an area of 5,727 hectares. The burn is part of an overall forest management plan for the area.
The light that day was perfect for dramatic B&W images. (In this case Infrared 830nm).
Fully modified Canon EOSR with 830nm filter.
This is the second of a series I am doing on the Peace Bridge of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
As I said in my previous image, I shot this bridge a while ago, before I got myself a pro camera and I wanted to go back to show how much I have grown as a photographer since.
I love the architecture of the bridge and think it is very beautiful, so that is what I am trying to get across in my images.
As always, Thanks for viewing and comments are always welcome. :)
One more classic Moraine Lake view.
