Blue-Violet Crocus [Crocus chrysanthus]
March was mostly cloudy and cool, with few opportunities for our amazingly hardy crocus to enjoy warm sunlight. But on this day there was lots of sun and these blue-violet crocus [Crocus chrysanthus] were reaching through the leaves for that March sun. Photographed March 21, 2016 in our front yard garden.
Equipment used: Sony Alpha SLT A-58 with Sony SAL 75-300mm lens, 20 & 36mm extension tubes and focus rail on tripod.
