Pink & white exploding Cake... I seriously need to learn how to take decent photos

A bag made with a piece of the 'unikko'-fabric and a fat quarter received in a swap from memmu. I love the red flowers, but you see them everywhere - so I thought, I'd do something different with it. The backside of the bag and the one side of the strap are black corduroy, and inside there is red cotton and a magnetic snap.

First try with high speed photography on balloons. Not really sharp. Ahwell doesn't have to be perfect right away.

80 degree dewpoint = BOOM!

Glass Christmas ornament (empty). Shot from the left hand side of the image.

The farm Exploder. I was playing with photoshop trying to get the middle of the night look. This is behind my garage in the Horse square pen where we feed them and currently storing our Belgium who does not respect electric fence. This Exploder was given to me because it had a blown head gasket. I have since drug off a brake line, knocked out a side window, drug in a ton of wood with it, and mowed over a bunch of wild roses. It always starts and never over heats. Yes it has a leaky head gasket. American engineering at it's best. Great driveline and a frame which will never rust out. I may cut the rear roof off and title it and drive it to work.

It's quite dfficult to get a struck match's flame to spread out in this way i.e. almost throughout 360 degrees... It's even more difficult to photograph it, but interesting to do. Best viewed LARGE.

This happens way more often than you'd imagine.

Collage from toy packaging and an old board game etc.

Tell me which Bokeh is your favorite!

All these Bokeh shots are actually fireworks...

So, been playing around with old images on Photoshop all day and this was basically the result. Let me know what you think...its a edit of this

This cake is a design of Planet Cake, I have been wanting to try it for some time. Once again Humidity was a killer, I could hardly smooth the fondant.

An overexposed moonrise. 104 seconds! I was looking for something to shoot, while a friend setup his telescope for a view of Saturn. Pointed the tripod toward the moonrise from behind the trees and clicked the remote. A little over a minute and a half later, I remembered that I had a camera with an open shutter. I closed the shutter, to find this!

Exploding Head Syndrome is a hardcore punk band from Oslo, Norway. The band hit the rehearsal space for the first time in the summer of 2010, and about a year later released their first recordings; a 7-tracks self-titled EP, which was well received by the norwegian press.

EHS describe their sound as “angry punk” and their lyrics deal with the stress and frustration of todays society. The band is highly influenced by american punk and british hardcore. Exploding Head Syndrome is renowned for their energetic live shows and in the last couple of years the band has toured Norway and has shared stage with bands like Satyricon, Oslo Ess and Blood Command.

On 9. October 2013 the band released their first full-length album Disciples of Reason on their own label Exploding Records. On the record they co-operated with producer Kenneth Ishak (Heyerdahl/Beezwax). The reception of the album has been great, and it has been hailed as the norwegian album of year by some critics.

a black grape dropped into a wine glass filled with water. Made for an interesting late night shoot. Small imperfections in the backhround has been photoshopped out. And cropped to my liking .

On our first visit to Cyprus we walked along the coast and near a little dry creek bed I dicovered some interesting plants which I went up close to investigate. There was a sudden nose like a catapult being fired and I lept backward thinking I had disturbed a snake. I gingerly went closer to see the oval fruit belonging to these leaves poking up on stalks. As I reached down to touch one another explosion ensued. I had encountered my first terrorist plant, the "exploding cucumber".The small fruit is filled with fluid which as the fruit ripens becomes compressed. When the the plant is disturbed the fruit shoots off its stalk releasing a jet of fluid and with it a shower of seeds which one can hear pattering down far and wide. Later we learnt from a local the school boy trick of aiming them at each other further aiding the plants seeding process and having some fun too!

I saw this image in a dream, it woke me and I just had to recreate it with the limited knowledge I had with Photoshop.

Finally, after many many tries, i've got a sharp shot of him mid-turn. It almost looks like he exploded

"Another beautiful abstract! I love the textures this exhibition created!"

Comment from Minh and Rochelle

Stuff was exploding and flying off of it by now
