Fireworks from July 4th, 2015.
Some nice sights and local inhabitants around the San Francisco Bay Area along walking trails and neighborhood.
This CD exploded in my PC the other day! Completely wrecked the drive but didn't damage anything else.
Thanks Microsoft!

The Gift
This almost blew up before it was supposed to. Everyone dove for cover. I was standing on our front porch with my camera but it all happened to quickly. All I got was this. Two houses caught fire in Wichita last night because of all the fireworks ignited at home and improperly managed.
"...I seek truth & beauty in the transparency of an autumn leaf, in the perfect form of a seashell on the beach, in the curve of a woman's back, in the texture of an ancient tree trunk, but also in more elusive forms of reality. Sometimes working on an image in my darkroom, the soul of a person appears, the emotion or vital essence of some object; at that moment, gratitude explodes in my heart & I cry. I can't help it. Such revelations are the goal of my work."

Setup shot for subsequent two liquid photos here and here. I keep forgetting to do setup shots, but remembered this time!
I only broke 1 mug doing this, luckily I had two the same which could be sacrificed for a photo.

Exploding Head Syndrome is a hardcore punk band from Oslo, Norway. The band hit the rehearsal space for the first time in the summer of 2010, and about a year later released their first recordings; a 7-tracks self-titled EP, which was well received by the norwegian press.
EHS describe their sound as “angry punk” and their lyrics deal with the stress and frustration of todays society. The band is highly influenced by american punk and british hardcore. Exploding Head Syndrome is renowned for their energetic live shows and in the last couple of years the band has toured Norway and has shared stage with bands like Satyricon, Oslo Ess and Blood Command.
On 9. October 2013 the band released their first full-length album Disciples of Reason on their own label Exploding Records. On the record they co-operated with producer Kenneth Ishak (Heyerdahl/Beezwax). The reception of the album has been great, and it has been hailed as the norwegian album of year by some critics.

Often you have too many feelings inside: too many words or too many silences never expressed... You feel suffocated. The heart beats too fast. The brain works also when you try to rest ...
Exploding ...
Often you have too many feelings inside... Then you have two roads ahead of you: let off steam, give air to all those things that you don't say, to all the silences that, instead, you fill with superfluous words... Or remain apparently quiet, still waiting to explode.
About four or five years ago, I was a Blue Meany for Halloween. Here I am at work modeling my Blue Meany head for my coworkers. It's one of the only pics of me in this outfit. I made the head out of papier mache and stuff I found at a dollar store. The ears were made out of badminton racquets. Only a few people recognized me, yelling, "Hey! It's a Blue Meany!" and it made my day whenever they did.
We went to Serena, which is under the Chelsea Hotel, following the parade. Just as three boys dressed as the Beastie Boys came down the stairs I was asking the coat check girl, "Can I check my head?" After roaming around the city all night I was done with the head and was going to leave it on top of a fire hydrant. Eddie wouldn't hear of it, so he took it off me and mounted it on his living room wall. The blue meany head was hung in three of his apartments all over the East Village. It made it all the way to Green Point, until one crazy night three years ago Eddie and his friends took turns wearing the head while they were out. Eventually, the head caught on fire. There are pictures of this on the Internet somewhere. I need to find the link.
