This is a photograph from the FINISH of the SSE Airticity Dublin Marathon which was held in Dublin City, Ireland on Monday October 27th 2014 at 09:00. This was the 35th year of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, which is run through the historic Georgian streets of Dublin, Ireland's largest and capital city. This photograph was taken in Dublin City Center at Mount Street Canal Bridge which is just before the 26 mile mark on Mount Street.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

I met Donna one night at Union Square Park. She was walking down Geary, sobbing and talking out loud to no one in particular. As she passed, she said "Every day is f***ed up for me!"
She turned back, and asked for a dollar. I explained the $2 portrait project to her, and she nodded her head, wiped tears from her eyes, and posed for her portrait.
I asked her how long she had been in San Francisco, and she said "two years", while trying to hold back tears. She seemed uncomfortable talking, so I wished her well and she went on her way.

I saw this guy at the corner and immediately knew I was pulling over. I parked my motorcycle and crossed three lanes of traffic to speak with him. I started our conversation by presenting him a $10 bill but told him that I wanted some of his time in return. He seemed to be in a great mood (he was drinking a tallboy) and seemed to put on a show for my picture taking. He explained how he had all levels of experience and authority in the construction trades, but didn't go into much detail about why he was here on this corner of Cockrell Hill Rd. and Interstate 20.

The Department of Bioscience, Nehru Arts and Science College is organizing a two days International Conference CTAB – 2018 on January 24th and 25th, 2018. On 24th January, the inauguration started with prayer song and welcome address by Mr. Praveen, Chairman, AIMS. Dr. J. Rathinamala, Organizing Secretary, CTAB – 2018, elaborated on the glimpses of CTAB. Dr. B. ANirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College delivered the Presidential Address in which he highlighted the importance of research in Bioscience and Pharmaceutical fields and the oppurtunities available worldwide for the same. The inaugural address was given by Dr. Pariyaporn Itsaranuwat, Deputy Head, Department of Biotechnology, Mahasarakham University, Thailand. She explained about the biomedical technology and its applications in therapy. Dr. R. Vijyayaraghaven, Dean, Biosciences and Convenor, CTAB – 2018 felicitated the gathering and emphasized on the importance of Biomedical Technology in medicinal field. Ms. Sruthi Narayanan, Vice Chairman, AIMS proposed the vote of thanks. Participants from 12 different colleges and students from our college are actively taking part in the poster presentation.
Virginia National Guard field artillery Soldiers explain the capabilities of the M119A2 howitzer, answer questions about the Guard and take part in a demonstration of 400 years of Virginia artillery during the Military Through the Ages event March 21, 2015, at the Jamestown Settlement in Williamsburg, Va. Hundreds of re-enactors portrayed military organizations from Roman times, the medieval period, Hundred Years’ War, War of the Roses, French and Indian War, American Revolution, War of 1812 and American Civil War as well as World Wars I and II, the Vietnam War and the Falklands War with Soldiers from the Hampton-based Battery B, 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team representing the modern military. The event also gave the Soldiers the opportunity to train on crew drills and fire blank ammunition to improve their proficiency to prepare for live-fire training scheduled for their April drill weekend. The Virginia National Guard traces the heritage and traditions of citizen service to the founding of the Jamestown Settlement May 14, 1607, where Capt. Flickr has it's things. When you least expect you find something you could never think off, being Tagged is one of them. Oh, well... here I go for my 16:
0 - I'm 38. It's quite different than I thought it would be some years ago. After all this time I still haven't learned the lesson and still try to figure out what being older will be.
1 - I am married to a beautiful top model that never earned a single euro for any of the photos I take her. She does it for free. I'm lucky.
2 - I have a son. He is now tall enough to wear my t-shirts. Today I had my revenge and took his. I was spanked for it.
3 - The thing on my hand reveals I tend to keep boxes of machines I ever get. I got lots. All together they can take a lot of space. At work people make fun me when I'm compelled to store boxes of printers, switches, servers, PCs, etc.
4 - Work. I am Systems Administrator. I like it so much sometimes I can't sleep thinking of what to do next day. When I sleep I can always get a call to...
5 - I find Mathematics and physics poetic. I wish I new a little more about it.
6 - I don't find poetry physical nor mathematical.
7 - I like painting and drawing. One of the next decades I'll start doing it again.
8 - I like gardening. I have a small garden where I spend some of my free time.
9 - I like reading. I don't read as much as I could and I have a big dilemma. What to read next? A classic or a contemporary author?
A - My favorite sport is tennis. Do you think it is poetic?
B - I'm very curious about machines. I like to understand why it was built that way. I think I better not say that I find poetic a good engineering solution.
C - I guess I read everything I about my Canon before a got it. Including the operating manual. Please don't spread this at work. I will deny it.
D - I could not sleep well when I ordered my camera. I tested the camera during my sleep. Somethings operate exactly the same way as in my dream.
E - I like Flickr. Thank you for all your comments to my photostream. I also want to thank all the teaching you all shared with me.
F - In case you haven't noticed I used hexadecimal for numbering my thoughts. The reason I did it is that there is something poetic in numbers I can't explain. Flickr Tagging is base 16!
The much awaited event of the year, the Annual Teachers’ Conference of this year, was held on 6th June,2017 at the Golden Glory Hall of Karnavati Club. It was attended by trustees, directors, teachers and staff of Udgam School and Zebar School. The compere for the day, Mrs. Sarmishtha Sinha, teacher of Udgam Senior Secondary section, unfolded the events of the day in an eloquent manner. The day began with a prayer song followed by lighting of the lamp by the trustees of the school Shri G. K. Choksi, Dr. Shaunak Muzumdar and Shri Sandeep Parikh alongwith Shri Rajabhai Pathak and Executive Director Shri Manan Choksi and Directors Ms Radhika Iyer, Ms Pratima Patell and Mrs Villoo Parikh and Principal Mrs. Sujata Tandon. Homage was paid by Ms. Radhika Iyer to the dynamic and revered trustee of the school, Late Shri V. C. Shah, who left for his heavenly abode this year leaving a deep void. A motivating speech by veteran educationist, Shri Rajabhai Pathak, left a deep impact on the audience. The Motivational Speaker of the conference was Sister Shivani who has been a member of Brahma Kumari’s World Spiritual University for more than two decades. It was a proud privilege for the school to have her as a speaker. She enthralled the audience with her deep and meaningful words. She spoke at length about the need for unity, harmony and the values of teamwork. She also addressed issues such as tackling stress in teachers and students, how to instill self discipline and motivated the teachers with her enlightening thoughts. The rapt audience listened in awe as pearls of wisdom poured forth and brought to the fore ideas and realisations that had been hidden away somewhere in the recesses of the being. Next on the agenda were the presentations by the different sections of teachers and non-teaching group of Udgam School about successes and failures of the year 2016-17 and plans for 2017-18. The groups presented their ideas well with beautiful success stories, a few failures and their plans for the future. When Executive Director Shri Manan Choksi went onstage to speak, the audience was agog to listen to his dynamic and out-of-the-box ideas. Shri Choksi mainly spoke about how the future is no longer what we believed it to be, a thought well ahead of its time. Then he went on to explain the concept by giving examples from the educational sector. He also stressed on the need to improve English in order to emerge as a world class English medium school. The Zebar success story, wherein the implementation of the best practices of Udgam School in Zebar School through Udgam Consultancy skyrocketed the number of admissions from a mere 200 to a whopping 1600 in less than 8 months, was also mentioned as it is a huge example of how success of one school has influenced another’s. Awards are a form of motivation for those who get it as well as those who don’t make it. Udgam School has an accomplished and dedicated team of teachers and staff and it is quite tough to decide who are more deserving. As special cases of being first among equals, several members of the fraternity were given awards for their performance in the year 2016-17. Finally, Mrs. Manjari Jain, Vice Principal of Senior Secondary section, gave the Vote of Thanks. Of course there was a delightful lunch spread which was also the time for socializing and swapping ideas. The Annual Teachers’ Conference of 2017 was a grand success where motivation met team work to rejoice in the past and renew plans for the future.
