I'll readily admit I thought this might be a fragment of fossil wood. However, it has been re-identified by a well-known local expert as the fragment of an Ichthyosaurus rib bone. The specimen is approx 1 3/4" / 4cms long.

This build is the Expert Artisan prize (highest scoring entry for presentation) in the Summer Joust. I wanted to use some bright, fun colors in the scene, and was inspired by John’s Allanar Forest model and the fictional land of Alnya he created.
