Some of us have "been in on it" since the beginning.
Around 40% of people over 50 in the UK have some form of hearing loss. Hearing loss is usually gradual and you may not notice any changes straight away.
Many people with hearing loss experience a drop in self-esteem and confidence because of their impaired ability to communicate with other people.
The following tips might be helpful next time you talk with a hearing impaired person:
Get the person’s attention.
Face the person and stand close to them.
Have the light on your face and do not cover your mouth.
Speak more slowly than usual.
Raise your voice if you have to, but try not to shout.
Speak expressively and use face, hand and body movements.

Na de UBC ging het baanvak Breda-Tilburg dicht vanwege een aanrijding met persoon en bleven de aangekondigde cargo's in Breda wachten. Een mooi moment om naar de werkzaamheden tussen Lage Zwaluwe en Roosendaal te gaan om de Fraai herschilderde Rail Experts 6703 te zoeken. Die werd uiteindelijk in Oudenbosch gevonden en kon na enig wachten gefotografeerd worden op de tijdelijke losplaats voor de vervuilde ballast.

2024 International Flower & Garden Festival
EPCOT - flower-show display - Bright & Magical!

Beautiful bright colors abound wherever you look during the
annual Flower and Garden Festival, held every March-May.
It features fantastic gardens and amazing Disney topiary.
Could not have been a more beautiful day! Come and visit!
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, inaugurated in 1994, uses specially themed floral displays throughout the park, including topiary sculptures of Disney characters. Guests can meet gardening experts and learn new ideas they can use in their own home gardens. The 30th annual event is scheduled for March 1, with an extended run of two months, leading up to July 5. Each event takes more than a full year to plan and more than 20,000 cast
member hours. Just a joy to behold annually in Central Florida.
This is a collective of women weavers who are also part of a Parents' support group, parents who have come together to support girls to stay in school, in partnership with the educational charity CAMFED. It was mesmerising to watch them weave; a lifetime of practice and a craft tradition that each individual adds their own expression to.

He was holding his DSLR camera out in front of him, framing his photos in the LCD screen rather than the viewfinder. Nothing wrong with that.
So here I was watching this hoverfly when along came a robin. I thought, I'll just hang around and see if the robin catches it -- a likely story. Jammy shot is all.
