Not sure what I was trying to accomplish here but I kind of liked the result. The original was dark and kind of blurry.

365 Day 111. For science class, Ryan needed to conduct an experiment on the effects of different watering methods with some plants. One plant recieved good old water, one got "Smart Water" and the last one got Fuze. The two plants that got the bottled drinks died, and the watered plant was the winner.
Took this picture during my India trip. The view of the valley from this point was just amazing. Here I am experimenting with sun , aperture and shutter speed :)
I decided to experiment a little trying to get some texture from my handheld reversed lens macro solution. Mainly going for plants as abstracts; insects move about to much.
I'd sewn this lavender komon together, as it's really too small for me. I think this worked quite well, though safety pins give a more natural line (and are quicker!). Worn with my only easy obi. Worn to school and shodo.
Experimenting with suspended LED lights (from a little free-gift crystal pedestal) swinging freely over the camera
One more Fullspectrum Experiment:
I try to make the best of these days with the same subjects over and over again ... And I'm lucky I have a lot of things to do on my list: It's almost 2 years ago I got some rather strange IR-block filters.
Here I used the B+W #470. It's a blue-greenisch color, pretty dark. It's actually a technical filter, to be honest I didn't understand what exactly it was used for (maybe 40 years ago?), but I understand it blocks IR. On the Fullspectrum camera it's always easy to check this: If you see green more or less normally, IR is more or less blocked.
I needed to custom white balance there photos, again simply on the birches bark. A litte tweaking was necessary. What I get are very rich greens. Magenta comes bold, also, red is more subdued here, but it's not absent. I like the colors quite a bit, I tried to get away from a too extreme rendering, but still the cooler tones are somewhat dominant (or is it just me imagine that?)
I only used this one filter on a Minolta 70-210/4 (the manual focus variant of the famous beercan) and used it wide open (the filter needs a lot of light) and at it's minimum focus distance. Not too bad for an old zoom wide open!
Experiment: cake batter in the waffle iron! A delicious experiment indeed. I used Cherrybrook kitchen cake mixes in vanilla and chocolate. It took quite a few tries to get everything right, but here are photos of the results!
Experimenting with my new Lensbaby, last year. This is a crazy concoction of dyed starfish, purple shimmery fabric and fun fur. It turned out cooler than I could have imagined (or intended).
