I have been experimenting with different things these days. Multi exposure is something new that I have tried out.

An experiment that turned out OK for once. I painted the base bead with some tinted Kato sause left over from another project. Then it looked too plain, so I added dots of metalic acrylic paint, and Kato sauced another couple layers over that to make it smooher
Two experiments in giving a little 3D detailing to the shop windows, At the moment these shop interiors are standing loose inside the main building. I'll decide what goes where later on. This block of shops has six units to fill.........
A modification of the Kingsway Models High Road shops kit.
In 2012, i did a whole series of reflection shots using a mirror and other reflective material. It was to challenge my creativity - and it was a challenge indeed! This shot was one of my biggest challenges - mostly because the one thing I hate to photograph the most - is myself.

For experimentation, sometimes I combine self-composed music with visual art. One composition is set in a satirical tone to depict a phenomenon in which teenagers chase parties and become less inhibited from taking drugs. The F# harmonic minor scale music clip starts out with psychedelic music with futuristic sound effects, which symbolize a charm that the sense of mystery brings. However, it ends with suspicious music with heavy dose of stringed music, which symbolizes depression and loss after coming back to reality and leaving the temporary pleasure. The other composition is about the musical and physical representation of the process of adopting cultural diversity and exchanges of multidisciplinary ideas, a cornerstone of university learning. The beauty, texture, and endless possibilities of a singular color shine much brighter when it is mixed with and contrasted against others. The commingling of colors represents acceptance and bonding of cultural and ideological differences.

It is a piece I created for a fictitious Electro Party at night club after composing the music, which can be commercial background music. The neon lighting and drug at night club give me the idea of using nail polish to create those fluorescent effects that seem attractive and desirable; however, they also cause dizziness and vertigo when getting too bright and strong. The movement of the colors also reminds me of those party people dancing.

It is a piece I created for a fictitious Music Festival, where people from all over the world get bonded together by music, and everyone travels to enjoy and share diversity. It was also based on a self-composed music clip, which can also serve as commercial background music.
While making and listening to this music clip, C major makes me feel peaceful and healing. Various colors symbolize people from different places, and the water symbolizes the festival and music itself. The commingling of colors represents acceptance and bonding of cultural and ideological differences.
Aerosol and Cloud Experiments in the Eastern North Atlantic (ACE-ENA) researchers and Portuguese air force personnel gathered around ARM’s Gulfstream-159 (G-1) research aircraft during the ACE-ENA winter 2018 intensive operational period in the Azores. The G-1 was stationed at Lajes Field, a base run by the Portuguese air force, on Terceira Island.

Made by taking my light painting toy, lifting it, starting the shot, dropping it, and letting it bounce a bit.
I was out shooting today with Nailbender and tcb3. While we were standing around talking for a few minutes, I decided to do an exeriment to see how well my Canon 70-200 f/4L would drop the background pond and pasture from behind our drink cans. It did pretty well.

Spiky spiky spiky, my own design
Designed this today and decided to try a few blocks... It's not quite as dramatic as I was hoping, but it's pretty cool. We'll see how I feel in the morning.
The blocks are 8" square since that's what my printer can do. This was the most interesting rotation of them. The secondary pattern didn't come through as well as I had hoped that it would.
I may make more blocks and see if I get anything more interesting by mirroring two (instead of having all four the same), or if reversing the black/color arrangement on two blocks makes it more interesting.
In any case, it's a cool pillowtop for a 16" pillow.
(This may or may not end up being my plan for the quilting bee... I'm also leaning hard towards free-pieced blocks using batik scraps.)
