Disappointingly, perhaps, this image is of a flintstone suspended on or better in a white foil of plastic. I added the colour in PP and turned the photo upside down. Would have been nice to see the Martian mountains myself.
Had a roll of TMAX100, which I hadn't shot forever, so took it out on a warm day with the Hasselblad 500CM after addressing (but not entirely fixing) the light leak. I like the form factor of that camera, but it's a challenge to use sometimes. Still had some nice opportunities to shoot with the snow being gone (at least til tomorrow!). Thanks to all those flickerans who keep inspiring!
Spent a day experimenting with light-painting with some friends on an acreage south of Calgary. That's the glow of the city lights in the distance.

SB-800 with an SD-8A battery back fired multiple times (using the test button) from different heights and angles to light the tree and snow.
Shot with a Nikon 18-70 f/3.5-4.5 at 18mm on a D300.
Experiment for Day 5 of Polaroid Week 2021 - took the shot, waited for it to develop, peeled it and, while still wet, placed it on the negative from another frame in a random position.

I tried putting my rose-colored prescription sunglasses over the camera on my phone, and took a pic of my reflection in a car door.

Experimenting with degeneration of an app effect on an original photograph, shot with an iPad-2.
The desired result was to minimize the appearance of the app.
Color and texture changes made in Photoshop CS5 layers.
My goal is to be able to use this app with some degree of control over the final results.
The effect of the Percolator app is best seen in Lightbox. Use the L key, please.
Some of the photos my phone takes are "superbly lit" by the best kind of natural day light I could ever hope for. But it also "reveals" a lot about my face details and the pores of my skin, and other "age defects" :( So, in an effort to "help" my feminine appearance, I could not resist, for once, some experimental retouching... Simply made my skin "softer". I guess I could use a lot of tricks but my goal is not to cheat but to show the person you would meet if we ever have the chance to meet in person, one day
sparrows are regular visitors. lovely to see them :)
panasonic lumix tz70
this afternoon i continued to experiment with my new camera. i used the scene and macro settings together with the focus lever. it's a lovely camera to hold and the weight all ok ... but practise, practise, practise
i had been waiting for a panasonic lumix tz90 but there is a global shortage of point and shoot cameras petapixel.com/2021/10/15/the-camera-industry-is-trapped-d... i was on various waiting lists but no stockist had any idea when it would be available. a panasonic lumix tz70 was in stock last week www.lcegroup.co.uk/New-Equipment-Home/ i bought it rather than have a possible prolonged frustrating wait for the tz90
for many years my garden was a shrubbery flic.kr/p/Lhv9ag which i loved. a picket fence covered in an ivy hedge coming down in a storm meant that over time changes had to happen flic.kr/p/2mn2x8a i'll be glad when the trellis is covered in honeysuckle and jasmine. that's the plan ...
www.flickr.com/groups/gardening_is_my_hobby/ helpful for ideas. thank you for sharing
