I was experimenting this past weekend with the Bluebirds and some holly branches with berries......haven't got it quite right but getting closer and closer. They are amazingly tolerant of people and props...... When I got home from work yesterday, I was told that the Robins had eaten most of the berries!!

Back to experiments with IR. This time with a Fujifilm S3 Pro IR converted.

Today I experimented with putting an iPad behind the bubble solution to color the background of the bubble. You can see I still used my flash with a diffuser attached creating the large white hotspot in the bubble. The background was displaying the photo booth app with the thermal camera selected. I'll post the background image on my Instagram story. I still haven't gotten the "perfect" bubble shot so I am going to keep working.

I'm training for the pinhole-theme of my 52 week group. If you have any advices to the theme I would be happy to hear. For this pic I have used a plastic "lense" called Holga HL-C f=60mm. It has in the middle a small hole and around this more little holes (like a flower).

Made some new paints, Carbon from my willow with glycerin and Arabic gun (also nut and curcumin)

Tanks for the visit ,have a nice day

Das ist eine Bildmontage. Ich habe beide Aufnahmen heute Nachmittag mit einem 500mm Spiegeltele gemacht.

This is a montage of two photos. I've taken both pictures with a 500mm mirror lens this afternoon.

Kid's experiment

This photo was a bit of an experiment, but I like the result aesthetically, with the contrast of the railings. It's close to SooC other than straightening.

The experiment is that this was shot using the 50mm F/2 lens from my vintage Yashica film camera, but mounted on my Sony body. I really would like to get a 50mm prime for my Sony, but full frame lens prices being what they are, I though this would be a fun thing to try whilst I saved my pennies.

I have to say, other than my not quite nailing focus in some of the shots, I am quite pleased with the results from this combo. Where I have nailed focus there is lots of detail, and it has a nice strong contrast in shots like this one.
