Usually used for interesting experiments in science. Let's say we're stretching frog's chests in order to understand heart revolution.
This is a fake 4x5. It's actually an HDR image produced from 42 Canon EOS d5 images (two rows of seven pictures, each shot at -2, 0 and +2 EV). The full resolution picture is about 10,000 px by 8,000 px, or 80 Megapixels. This will print to around 30"x25" at grainsniffing quality.
Tech blabla: Canon EOS d5 w/ Canon EF 50mm @ f/16, stitched in PTGui Pro, converted to HDR and tonemapped in Photomatix Pro, final jiggery pokery in CS3.

Experimenting to see if my construction works for photographing old slides. I need to get the height the same on both piles of books, but otherwise, it works! The camera is connected up to my tablet via wi-fi. Example in the comments.
The experiment was to see which type of vinegar gave the greatest reaction with baking soda. Turns out the aromatic (balsamic) vinegar was the strongest reaction!

Here's the dead simple circuit with ~18 volts looping around it (the Duracell Procells had closer to 9.45 volts apiece). The resistor in question was a 1/8 watt rated 100 ohm resistor.

Wanted to experiment a bit with layers in photoshop and an old idea I once did for a fancy dress party, went as 'Saturday night, Sunday morning' half shaved.
Plus some notes explaining the scars.
Coffee Experiment. This is Gorilla Coffee Kenya Fairview Estate poured with 4 different variables. Grind, filter, and weight were tested. Participants preferred:
Hario V60 dripper 20 grams of coffee and Chemex with Kone over Chemex with paper filter.
Participants were customers and barista.

I took these using a filter to try and age the image or make it appear creamier. I took each picture with and without a filter to see the differences.
After all that, I only now realize I grabbed the wrong glass
Took my Sigma 10-20mm 4/5,6 out at night in Trupbach near Siegen to play with the moon and the clouds passing by.

Scientists recently performed three more experiments on local freshwater mussels. The purpose was to measure how much pollutants are removed as these animals filter water clean while they eat. This will help tell planners how investments in mussel restoration lead to cleaner water. iPhone's latest software update, IOS 7, added a panorama feature to the camera...I made a couple run-of-the-mill "panos" (Apple seems to love applying their own terms to things that are already established, have you ever noticed that?), quickly grew bored with them, and decided to experiment with it. These were all taken out the window of a moving bus. I sometimes held my iPhone normally, sometimes horizontally, sometimes upside-down, and so forth, manipulating the way the image was recorded. I rather like the results.
