My sister-in-law Lori is a professor. She is a writer. She is a wife. She is an intellectual. Now, she is preparing to be a mother. This past Memorial Day weekend my brother and she made the big announcement before a family dinner. Taking a family walk after dinner I watched as the evening sun lit up my sister-in-law's hair. Like me, I felt the sun too wanted to celebrate this news. I know parents view their babies as gifts, but my brother and sister-in-law's baby will receive an unmeasurable gift in being raised by them. This baby will have a great deal to be grateful for.
Expect a beefed up defense this year, let by some of our new coaches. Coach Hart (red shirt) starts his first season on the Farm coaching the defensive line after coming over from Notre Dame.
We expected to have to drive back into the dunes to see any horses. These guys were all just waiting on the beach for us about a quarter mile in. Wow.
This World Class attraction was everything we expected and more. Construction has just begun on a major expansion, but that has been managed in such a way that it does not in any way detract from the experience now.
This album focuses on the artwork inside the buildings and on the other interior spaces including the Eleven Restaurant and the Gift Shop. A separate album posted a few days ago is devoted to the two April mornings that we spent exploring just some of the trails that crisscross the 120 acres of Arkansas forest around the museum.
Alice Walton and her co-creative team can be proud of the vision and execution of everything on this 120 acre site.

"Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a museum of American art in Bentonville, Arkansas. The museum, founded by Alice Walton and designed by Moshe Safdie, officially opened on 11 November 2011. It offers free public admission.
Alice Walton, the daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, spearheaded the Walton Family Foundation's involvement in developing Crystal Bridges. The museum's glass-and-wood design by architect Moshe Safdie and engineer Buro Happold features a series of pavilions nestled around two creek-fed ponds and forest trails. The 217,000 square feet complex includes galleries, several meeting and classroom spaces, a library, a sculpture garden, a museum store designed by architect Marlon Blackwell, a restaurant and coffee bar, named Eleven after the day the museum opened, "11/11/11". Crystal Bridges also features a gathering space that can accommodate up to 300 people. Additionally, there are outdoor areas for concerts and public events, as well as extensive nature trails. It employs approximately 300 people, and is within walking distance of downtown Bentonville."

When you’re expecting for the very first time you truly have no idea what to expect. Usually, family and friends that have actually existed before have the tendency to play down points and claim something straightforward like, ‘Oh, I enjoyed being expectant!’ Nonetheless, there are some aspects of pregnancy that can come as an utter […]

I was expecting to find a parking ticket on my car this morning but instead I found this. Teen prank? Secret admirer? Wrong car? License plate appreciator? Drunken randomness?
My first maternity session - a crazy steep hike in the 90+ degree July weather and mosquitoes!! But what a great family to photograph - so relaxed and easy going! i hope I look even half as good as her when I'm pregnant!

Didnt expect to have traveled so much last month that I missed my favorite season in Japan altogether. It is almost over now so this is probably my only batch, if not the only autumn leaves photo for this year. I thought it was my last chance so I took a lot last year. Kind of glad that I did. 2007 collection www.flickr.com/photos/ehin/sets/72157603214468648/
