A picture that I expected it would not be special. But I really like it

Taken for the Macro Monday theme of 'slices' of food.

A slice of toast loaded with Vintage Dundee Orange Marmalade.

"In 1797 the first jar of marmalade was produced in Dundee, Scotland. Mackays, a family business, is now the last remaining producer of the Dundee Orange Marmalade in the Dundee area - 'The Home of Marmalade'

Using traditional open copper pans, the highest quality bitter Seville oranges and their authentic methods, ensure rich fruit flavours in every batch and that special home-made taste you expect"

It was delicious!!

Sparrow without a song...all fluffed up for the cold. Snow expected tomorrow.

"A rich, russet-and-gray bird with bold streaks down its white chest, the Song Sparrow is one of the most familiar North American sparrows. Don’t let the bewildering variety of regional differences this bird shows across North America deter you: it’s one of the first species you should suspect if you see a streaky sparrow in an open, shrubby, or wet area. If it perches on a low shrub, leans back, and sings a stuttering, clattering song, so much the better."

This puffed-up sparrow in the tall grasses neither sang nor flew in a direction I expected. We had a bit of light this morning.

Comments unnecessary. Very large crop.

Echinopsis is a large genus of cacti native to South America, sometimes known as hedgehog cactus, sea-urchin cactus or Easter lily cactus. One small species, E. chamaecereus, is known as the peanut cactus. The 128 species range from large and treelike types to small globose cacti. The name derives from echinos hedgehog or sea urchin, and opsis appearance, a reference to these plants' dense coverings of spines.

They are remarkable for the great size, length of tube, and beauty of their flowers, which, borne upon generally small and dumpy stems, appear much larger and more attractive than would be expected.

Since this particular species' individual flowers normally bloom only two days a year, and this is one of those days, and this is my wife's birthday, it seems that all the stars were aligned.

I expected to be just photographing this rose but the unexpected happened. This insect flew into view and stayed for just a few seconds. I think the insect might be a wasp but I'm not sure.

I did not expect to get out with the camera today as it was grey and overcast but at about 4pm the sun started to breakthrough so I decided to head over to Bosham, West Sussex again and arranged to meet my Flickr pals Andy & Paul to shoot the sunset.

The conditions were good with very little wind and some clouds in the sky so we decided to shoot from the quay & slipway and experienced some decent colour in the sky reflecting on the harbour well after the sun had dropped below the horizon!

Thanks for any comments you may wish to leave.

Territory Wild Park, Australia

I did not expect at all to meet this little dude ...

At first, I had absolutely no idea what it was, I did not know that crane nestlings were reddish like that and it was more or less swimming on the water like a duck.

I should have known though, as 2 minutes before I was secretly trying to approach a pair of common cranes in the swamp, that eventually flew away. I had never thought about where Common cranes are nesting, I was assuming it was way more in the north of Europe.

Anyway after taking a shot, I did not stay much longer to avoid creating too much disturbance :(

After a relatively dry spring and two weeks of wall-to-wall sunshine there are heavy thunder showers predicted for my part of the world today. The garden really needs a drink but the ground is hard baked and localised flooding is to be expected in these downpours. The next week looks to be wall-to-wall sunshine too so I'll be glad to fill the water butt at least, my salad crops will be glad of some natural rainwater.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend ahead. Stay safe and stay hydrated.

Taken to use on a poster for the wife's band. Strange audience.

Expect the unexpected when you are in Bangkok. Like this man lying in a blue hammock underneath the strangler figs at the Ministry of Defense.

Wikipedia: Strangler fig is the common name for a number of tropical and subtropical plant species in the genus Ficus, including those that are commonly known as banyans.

Ficus has a "strangling" growth habit that is found in many tropical forest species. This growth habit is an adaptation for growing in dark forests where the competition for light is intense. These plants are hemiepiphytes, spending the first part of their life without rooting into the ground. Their seeds, often bird-dispersed, germinate in crevices atop other trees. These seedlings grow their roots downward and envelop the host tree while also growing upward to reach into the sunlight zone above the canopy.

Let me clear I honestly do not care about 6ix9ine. You don't join gangs for clout and not expect consquences. Now with that said the only reason I endorse this track is because the Queen is on it. If no one has told yall yet Nicki is the only female artist I could honestly see me drinking her bath water. They say you should not idolize these artist and that they are people to...and to be fair they are. I respect her because it does not matter who comes for her she puts her business and her money first and thats to be respected. Just like she told Remy Ma we don't do diss tracks we make hits. This is why (No Frauds) is still hot and Rema Ma (Shether) is not. Bring the bag or go home. Going back and forth gets you know where, and that is why her second diss track fell flat. Chase that money and push forward.

And you came

You came while the flowers were blooming

To all the flowers,

Despite all the seasons,

Despite the night, wind and rain

You were expected,

like spring rain,

To the thirsty lands of my heart

Welcome..

Ve sen geldin

Sen, çiçekler açarken geldin

Bütün çiçeklere,

Bütün mevsimlere inat,

Geceye, rüzgara, yağmura inat

Beklenendin,

Bahar yağmuru gibi,

Yüreğimin susamış topraklarına

Hoş geldin...

The fountains are turned on at awkward times, like when you least expect it. It's great to walk around watching the bigger fountains except when the smaller one's turn on before your ready.

Sneak peek: 'Sensuality', the new exhibition @ Nitroglobus,

This photo is dedicated to Andrea. I admire and adore her work. Her photography is creative and expressive – always with elements of surprise and provoke the senses. Every night I just wait and hope that she will post a new photo for me to enjoy and get inspired.

She’s a wonderful and gorgeous young lady. I'm so lucky to discover another rising star!

Go check her out!

Lần đầu rửa, film bị hỏng :(

Hi vọng thước film đầu sẽ không có chuyện gì xảy ra

Dù có cũng mong là ít :d

Did you know that over 8 million tons of plastic flow into our ocean every year? By 2050 it is expected that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

I've been thinking a lot about these stats recently and what I can do to raise awareness and give back - especially considering today is Earth Day.

So all sales from this weekend will be matched and donated to "Ocean Blue Project", a nonprofit committed to removing plastic from our ocean and beaches.

Trash is a mermaid tail applier HUD for RIPTIDE by Aii & Ego. It's created on the Alienwaves. RIPTIDE applier system, so if you have tails from other stores who use the same applier - no need to reinstall the scripts in your tail!

Trash is designed to look like black plastic bags wrapped around the tail, and the fins have custom materials which resemble the ever popular convenience store "THANK YOU" plastic bags.

This is my first release for this tail, I hope you enjoy it - I am excited to make more.

**Designed Exclusively for the Aii & Ego RIPTIDE Tail, you will need to buy this tail to use this product. You can purchase it from their mainstore**

I promise it's the last one I'll upload this season... unless another one lands on a flower and stays long enough to have a photo taken.

Today it is cold and rainy and really windy so I don't expect to see any around.

The weather has changed. It seems about the 15th of August things go from blistering hot to sort of cool already. And, the past week has been noticeably cooler especially at night ... only +4C this morning... brrrr... already..... I think I'll bake some bread to warm up the kitchen at least. I hope we don't have to turn on the furnace for heat already.. this is just too early to even think about winter weather.

This is a little lady... apparently the two dots on each of the wings indicates that.... a little tidbit I learned this year...
