Execution Rocks Light is a lighthouse in the middle of Long Island Sound on the border between New Rochelle and Sands Point, New York. It stands 55 feet tall, with a white light flashing every 10 seconds. The granite tower is painted white with a brown band around the middle. It has an attached stone keeper's house which has not been inhabited since the light was automated in 1979.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007 as Execution Rocks Light Station.
"I'll let you enjoy your last hours of life though," said Red Death. "I have something special planned for your grand finale."
For this step, I simply showed myself drawing in one of my sketchpads. I attempted to use a slow shutter speed to show movement in my hand, but it wouldn't show. All I have is a somewhat transparent pencil.

Visit to Museum of London Docklands to see the 'Executions' exhibition. The first publicly recorded executions at Tyburn was in 1196; the last public execution in 1868. By the end of the 18th century over 200 crimes were punishable by death.

This photograph, taken by photographer Eddie Adams in 1968, shows the brutal execution of a Viet Cong Officer, Nguyen Van Lem, by the South Korean General Nguyen Ngoc Loan. The photo caused uproar among anti-war protestors due to assumptions that the man was an innocent victim, brutalized by the war. Eddie Adams has admitted his regret at even taking the photo (despite winning the 1968 Pulitzer Prize) for it failed to tell the real story. The Vietcong Officer had been responsible for many deaths in General Loan’s military police force, including a senior officer and close friend General Loan. In reality, the photo further shows the ethical and moral gray area in which war exists.

You could be accused of being a witch by any two men. You were put on trial and sentenced to be ducked under the water. If you drowned you were innocent. If you could hold your breath long enough you were a witch and were burned. Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie.
Executions of prisoners in the Small Fortress began in 1943. A total of 250 to 300 prisoners were shot dead without a court sentence. The biggest execution took place on May 2, 1945. As many as 52 people, mostly members of the Czech resistance groups (e.g. Predvoj or Vanguard) were killed. The gallows were used just once for the hanging of 3 prisoners. A passageway through the embankment leads to the mass graves.
