For day 5 of Videoblogging Week I’m digging up some never before seen footage I shot on December 13th last year. The scene is outside San Quentin State Prison the night of the execution of Stanley “Tookie” Williams. His execution was especially controversial as Williams had renounced gang life and had become an effective anti-gang activist. Thousands of anti-death penalty activists turned out in hopes of a last minute commutation of Williams’ sentence.
It's videoblogging week and this my contribution for today.

Tragedy on Denon: Dark Times RPG Application
//Date log: Primeday, Month Four, 18 BBY//
//Event log: Execution of Trooper CT-6107 and Jedi Knight Sole Cadawn//
//Reason for execution: Jedi Kinght Sole Cadawn, accused of treason against the Galactic Empire. Trooper CT-6107, accused of deserting the 501st Legion of the Stormtrooper Corps, supplying the growing rebellion with vital equipment, and being involved in an intimate relationship with Sole Cadawn//
//Execution status log: COMPLETED//
CT-6107, aka “Shade” gripped the hand of Jedi Knight Sole Cadawn. Her warmth had become increasingly familiar to him over these past few months. it had confronted him in the good and the bad. And it was a welcome balance between the foreboding heat of the blaster bolts that would eventually be let lose from the weapons of his former squadmates- No, his former brothers. And the cold, hard stares of the crowd of onlookers, waiting for the these two so called “criminals” to be brought to justice. The voice of the officer stating the charges against him and Sole were drowned out by the rhythm of his heart, a fast, oddly paced, echo that consumed every fiber of his being. Not wanting to give his terror anther moment in his soon-to-be-extinguished spotlight, he focused his gaze on sole, as he squeezed her hand so tightly that he thought he would break her hand. They shared one last loving glance. That one moment felt like an eternity, and he savored ever bit of it. But that eternal bliss that he and Sole both shared was shattered in an instant as he heard a cry of “Fire!” With gave way to a flash of brilliant red, and the searing heat of the baster bolt, which in turn, gave way to the most intense sensation of all: The cold jaws of death.

One story relates how, while Nicholas was visiting a remote part of his diocese, several citizens from Myra arrived with the news that, in his absence, the ruler of the city, Eustathius, had condemned three innocent men to death. Nicholas set out immediately for home. Reaching the outskirts of the city, he asked those he met on the road if they knew what had happened to the prisoners. Informed that their execution was to be carried out that morning, he hurried to the executioner's field, where he found a large crowd of people and the three men kneeling with their arms bound behind them, awaiting the blow of the sword. Nicholas passed through the crowd, took the sword from the executioner's hands and threw it to the ground, ordering that the condemned men be freed from their bonds. Later the ruler sought the saint’s forgiveness. Only after a period of public repentance did Nicholas absolve him.

Execution Room. Prisoner was tied and suspended as shown by an old prisoner uniform. The wall behind was covered by padding full of bullet holes. The other walls were also padded in an effort to cut down on noise.
I layed my life down for peace, never to harm another human being, and yet it's the soldiers of peace that get shot.
We are all just like Toy Soldiers
I'm supposed to be the soldier who never blows his composure
Even though I hold the weight of the whole world on my shoulders
I am never supposed to show it, my crew ain't supposed to know it
Even if it means goin' toe to toe with a Benzino it don't matter
I'd never drag them in battles that I can't handle unless
I absolutely have to
I'm supposed to set an example
I need to be the leader, my crew looks for me to guide 'em
If some shit ever just pop off, I'm supposed to be beside 'em
Now the Ja shit i tried to squash it, it was too late to stop it
There's a certain line you just don't cross and he crossed it
