This is not an uncommon motif in East Anglia - Ethelbert Gate in Norwich Cathedral Close has a similar dragon fight, for instance. The spandrels of an arch make an excellent structure to contain the scene.

All these shots were taken during an evening walk yesterday, right at dusk. The pedestrian bridge is an excellent structure for nighttime photography. I've been waiting for a good snow since it was initially opened, perhaps this winter I'll get snow-shots over the highway.
2005 Paringa Estate Pinot Noir Peninsula
Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Mornington Peninsula
2005 produced wines which were fruit-forward with excellent structure and cellaring. It had the best of all factors, good winter, spring rains, favorable soil conditions, ideal moisture conditions which suggest an average-yielding season with good-to-excellent quality. The best appellations benefiting from this vintage were Barossa Valley in South Australia, and Margaret River in Western Australia.
Tasted on Monday 21.01.2008. 15.0%. 100% Pinot Noir. A brute Pinot with massive oak and especially alcohol from the nose to the end of the runway which made me sweat after the first few glasses. Medium-bodied, some cherry and stalks and an abrupt and warm finish. Lots of fat. Drink between 2006 and 2010. Given more thought, I shouldn't have bought this entry wine from the WineStar MO.

A surprisingly good Verdejo from Rueda. Excellent structure, lovely aromas of cut grass, lime and coriander, a vibrant, refreshing palate and a long, fresh, citrus finish.
