Last night another dream became a reality for me. Last night something I had been thinking about and working towards took full flight. Last I opened my Evolve Gallery with my business partner Dennis.
Prelude, our opening show and fundraiser featured the amazing work of 15 artists representing 5 countries.
From student artwork from Ryman Arts and Star Prep Academy to emerging and establish artists, this was a great start.
We are located on the 11th floor of the historic REEF building at 1933 S. Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles. Our hours are Monday through Friday 12-5pm

This was created at the Evolve music festival in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I love shooting post sunset during twilight. I noticed this guy making bubbles from across the field and it was really visually interesting so I just walked over and started taking photographs. It was a cool situation, we didn't speak to one another at all, he just kept making bubbles and I kept taking photos. In a lot of ways it was like a jam, we were both aware of what the other was doing, and we were essentially working together to make something neither of us could do alone. The jam analogy is applicable to a lot of my favorite photo sessions. I don't like to direct people, I prefer to be patient and just let things happen naturally.
