Evolution Emerging 2016

work for: Pr-Evolution Dance Company

This is from a single shot that I took of Patrick Dunn at a concert in Boston. I took it with a zoom lense and zoomed is as the shutter was open for about half a second. I was able to capture three distinct images of Patrick's face in one shot.

We're hoping to use some of the shots I took for Patrick's upcoming album.

Evolution - Let there be Light. Dance into the Future en daarna Evolution - Let there be Light. Thx.

There was reluctance to accept Darwin's theory of evolution in the 19th Century, and even more reluctance to accept the possibility that human beings could have any sort of kinship or relationship with animals.

Evolution of the Book..

Shorebuggles (bottom left and right) are the culmination of 45 million years of evolution in the herbivorous macro-tardigrade Hexapiggle lineage.

Beginning with basal Hexapiggles (top left) that were little more than enlarged copies of their microscopic ancestors using their stylet mouthparts to pierce seaweeds and suck out the intracellular fluids, the Hexapiggle lineage adapted its first pair of limbs into a pair of chewing mandibles in the Mastix (middle) grade of hexapiggles, arising at around the 20MY mark.

Shorebuggles like the Painted Shorebuggle (Cimarctos pictus; bottom right) fill a role similar to beach springtails and sand fleas, eating washed-up and decaying seaweed at the strandline. A few Shorebuggles, such as the Coastal Spoodigrade (Gnathoraptor binocularis; bottom left) are also scavengers of beach carcasses and opportunistically take live prey as well.

Evolution of Waters, from the album Ekvílibríum by Valgeir Sigurðsson, which I downloaded tonight ... this track easily evokes images of the rhythmic sea for me ...

First of all let me say love is a

wave, is that what I must learn, if

her being I am to earn. Love is a

stream that comes before what we

can see and then goes on in front

of me, moving through the country.

Once I hoped I could only be happy

when drenched by the sea, it twisted

me, I would not flee but made my heart

change, you present yourself as the

sea and I fear the sea. Love is a

stream that sometimes flows inside

of me, first it’s black and then it’s

green, a merwolf’s dream, ... love is

a stream ending in the sea, you

are the sea, you always were.

I’m not sure of it, I’m not sure of

love, I’m not sure of me, I’m not

sure of me, I hate this fear, ... oh I

hate the fear, I hate the sea.

Love is a stream that sometimes is

inside of me, first it’s black and

then it’s blue, flowing cleanly

around you. The bed was boat and

you and me, the room afloat and

tossed so violently, you

disappeared into the scenery, like

huckle’s raft I’m freed to be, and

as a source and as an end, we are

what we have always been. Love is a

stream, a fountain of what we

deem, descendent drinking,

branching stream, you are the sea,

you always were. Love is a stream,

it is not what we seem, it

comes from somewhere else and it

goes to somewhere else.
