There are no shortcuts in evolution. -Louis D. Brandeis
So this isn't a normal fashion post, but I think its a neat idea. I'm calling this the "Evolution Of Seven."
I know its bad form to show old photos, a lot of people delete them, hide them, refuse to believe they ever looked like that. I don't, I think its great to look back, and see how much you have progressed, or changed your style. Although my style has stayed relatively the same, my avatar has changed drastically over the few years I've been here. But it took me almost 4 years to look like I do, tinkering around and changing things. I may not be god's gift to women, but I LIKE how I look, and that's whats important.
We often forget how hard we worked and how much money we spent. (Oh god the money we spent)... I say this only because I've noticed an awful lot of bashing lately on other peoples avs, and I can only imagine they feel the same way I do, they like how they look, so leave em be!!!
I guess what I'm saying is, just like in real life, ACCEPT each other n STFU! lol\
Oldest to newest left to right, top to bottom. Check out that system body, rocking the shit outta that! LMAO onward to Aesthetic body, then Adam Mesh, and lastly Signature... I wonder how many more bodies i'll have before I quit SL lol

J'hésite beaucoup pour le titre de cette photo. Mon titre alternatif serait "tranche de vie" qui est une allégorie à la vie amoureuse.
Puisque c'est un assemblage de plusieurs photos, l'exif n'apparait pas, voici les détails techniques;
Panasonic DC-G9 en mode rafale, OLYMPUS M.60mm F2.8 Macro, ISO 800, f/8.0 1/125.

A metal sculpture near Stamford, South Dakota.
I spotted this odd sculpture in the middle of South Dakota while driving along the interstate highway. Needless to say I stopped to photograph it.

I did a little experimenting with my old character. The background was improvised. It was supposed to be another painting but I never got around to it so I outlined it and threw in some black splatters and an outline of my standard character.
This little Anole lizard appears to be looking with awe at his ancestral T-Rex cousin and maybe wondering what could have been if that pesky meteorite didn't strike the Earth 65 million years ago.
This isn't the best quality picture but I thought it was Flickr worthy for the smile factor.
Captured at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.
Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!
Can't imagine having to saddle a horse every day, or hitch it to a carriage just to go to work, shopping, or visit a friend across town. Just the thought makes me appreciate my little car even more!
I learned a long time ago that some people would rather die than forgive. It's a strange truth, but forgiveness is a painful and difficult process. It's not something that happens overnight. It's an evolution of the heart.

From film to digital is a step in the evolutionary ladder of photography in my lifetime: a mid-20th century Baby Brownie Special by Eastman Kodak Co. of Rochester, NY, in the monitor of an early-21st century D7100 by Nikon Corp. of Japan (Thailand).

Hippeastrum, these plants are popularly but erroneously known as Amaryllis and are cultivars of bulbous plants in the family Amaryllidacea.
The botanical name Amaryllis is taken from a shepherdess in Virgil's pastoral "Eclogues"(An eclogue is a poem in a classical style on a pastoral subject.
Poems in the genre are sometimes also called bucolics. Virgilius wrote the Bucolica, consisting of 10 Eclogues).
As a flower symbol it has come to mean "Dramatic", which seems most fitting here!
Hippeastrum is a popular bulb flower for indoor growing, it is Greek for "horseman's star" (also known today as "knight's star").

Macro Mondays – Evolution, in this case, is Solar Powered.
A pair of time pieces; a vintage Ingersoll pocket watch, that required winding daily, compared to a Seiko wristwatch, that never requires winding as it’s solar powered.

Teleidoscope's theme this week is Develop. This was a hard one! I had several ideas but decided that I wanted to tie the theme to the evolution of photography. It is striking to me how many photographers are now turning away from their dSLRs and looking to their iphones to capture and process their images.
