Kicking off my group's photo pool, neck on the chopping block, arse in the wind and all that. This idea was born out of an afternoon messing around with Noodle and Elusyve, looking at each other's original avs in fits of giggles. I didn't even show my fangs then!

"Show us the first real YOU in SL. Not Ruth, but the moment you looked at your avatar and first declared it good. And then add to it the photograph that you feel is the very epitome of all you've become, the style today that you feel most like yourself in. Sure, it'll make you cringe. But it may also make you very proud."

"Certainly the innovators of their time, Montoya and Vigil might have been the first at San Ildefonso to use red with the black design. Perhaps a trader suggested it directly or merely showed them the brightly colored Acoma pieces which were their competition..."

Hi, I know I am extremely quiet and do not post as often as I used to, but I want to thank those of you who follow and give me encouragement along the way. I really appreciate your comments, feedback and support.
I continue to shoot when I can and I hope to keep posting in the future. :)
This is the fifth image in a new collaboration I am taking part in with two other photographers. Check out the project here: simonbrooksphotography.com/triple-shot-project
We release an image every 2 weeks based around a particular theme. As we are all completely different in our styles, we are expecting very different interpretations and executions of each concept.
This shot taken in the middle of August in 2008. August 2016 is flying by very quickly. Enjoy each and every day of your summer.
Happy Saturday, everyone!

Back in at the latter part of 2006 and early 2007 First trialled a MAN 14.220 MCV Evolution demonstrator which at the time was probably the newest single deck in use at Plymouth!
It was one of those 'journeyman' demo buses which did the rounds at various ops.
It is now part of Arriva The Shires fleet.
Not sure what fleet number it got allocated or what impression it made, probably not much of one!
Noise Marines are Chaos space marines devoted to Slaanesh, the Dark God of pleasure. They are armed with sonic blasters which produce deadly sound. I made my first version of Noise Marine in 2014 and it was a simple minifigure. Later, in 2018, I decided to represent the size difference between a normal human (or Aeldari) and a space marine by building a larger "maxifigure". It got brighter colors and a punk mohawk in 2019 to match classic 80s miniatures. And, finally, in 2020 the figure was updated with a more accurate weaponized guitar, new arms and other minor changes.

Mercedes-Benz went head to head with BMW when it launched the compact 190 Series in December 1982, expanding its market to include motorists hitherto unable to afford the Stuttgart manufacturer's high-quality products. This policy proved an outstanding success, with sales of the 190 totalling almost two million over the course of its ten-year production life.
A conventional front-engine, rear-drive, four-door saloon, the 190 was available with a variety of engines ranging from a 1.8-litre four to a 2.6-litre six, plus 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre diesels. Sports models was not long in coming, the 185bhp 2.3-16 joining the expanding 190 range in the autumn of 1983, to be followed by the even more powerful 2.5-16 in 1985. These cars had been conceived with motor sports in mind and were quipped with 16-valve cylinder heads developed in Britain by Cosworth Engineering, which based the design on that of its immensely successful DFV Formula 1 engine. Produced to meet the homologation requirements of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) touring car race series, limited edition Evolution and Evolution 2 versions had arrived by the decade's end.
This 190E 2.5-16 was supplied new by the official Mercedes-Benz dealership, Autostern in Wädenswil, ZH and comes with its original service book stamped at time of delivery. Purchased by the vendor (believed the fourth owner) in 2007, the car has been regularly maintained and will be comprehensively refurbished prior to auction, including a service, new brakes, new tyres, suspension reconditioned with new dampers, etc. This increasingly collectible modern Mercedes is offered with sundry invoices, Swiss Carte Grise, and the aforementioned original service book.
