Cuando llevas toda la vida aguantando humillaciones, insultos, desprecios, colleja tras colleja y callas por respeto a los demás pero quieras o no llega el momento, ese, en el que tu paciencia llega al limite del abismo y estallas sin mas.
Gente paciente, de buen compás que se dice, gente que no quiere problemas y callan y callan pero el día que abren la boca y te miran fijamente... Ese día tiembla porque...
Se despierta ese dragón que llevamos tod@s dentro y sale al exterior.
Usé dos fotos que hice con el 90mm y la mezcla y el estado de animo me fue llevando a esta mirada..

I wouldn't want to meet this guy in an abandoned building. Oh...wait a minute! I found this evil concrete face at the abandoned sugar beet mill in Franklin, Idaho.

Well it's been fun. Too bad this little project didn't get much recognition, but that's just life so I'm not complaining. The next couple of weeks are going to be pretty busy for me, so don't expect (m)any posts. I do have some stuff planned, so stay tuned!

Scientific fact states these cactus don't really jump. But if you get close enough, it seems like they do. I experienced just such an attack as one 'jumped' out and latched onto my bare ankle.
I couldn't just pull it off. So after a pause to think about it, I used a wadded up hoodie:

There I am alone in the desert, howling & cussing. I can't recall the last time I had a good cuss!
The only good thing to say about them is that they photograph beautifully. This is a Lensbaby shot taken at sunset in Joshua Tree.
You won't hear about this in the media, but Mr. Brown Pelican should be regarded as a bêete noire.
I don't know if Mr. Pelican is consciously and purposely evil or merely randy. I do know, however, that he uses the word "thymolsulphonephthalein" without ever having taken the time to look it up in the dictionary. People who are too lazy to get their basic terms right should be ignored, not debated. On theoretical grounds alone, his statements are so filled with errors that I feel some futility in replying to them.
My entry to round 4 of The MOCer Cup on MP, item : Good and Evil. Or: Extremes meet. I believe in reality we mostly have tones of gray, but I tried to make a mask of both in one to show that's what everybody has inside as a disposition when we start the way of life. I also liked to create the bad side as a mythological figure and to make the whole MOC B&W except the eyes. Enjoy!
When you're lucky enough to be pretty much alone in Antelope Canyon, you can take your time admiring the place, appreciate the unique atmosphere of the place. And if the weather and the time are good enough you'll encounter amazing scenery that will make you feel like you are no longer one Earth. Slots canyons provide some very good opportunities to make "Abstract" nature shots with all the patterns on the sandstone walls.
This shot may not be the most original I've taken there but I really liked the reddish glow. It gave the impression that there is something mysterious or evil around the corner. I tried to transmit this impression through my lense but to fully appreciate the atmosphere, you also have to imagine a furnace, dry air with absolutely no draft, and the subtile smell of warm dusty rocks.

A sunbeam thorugh the clouds is often seen as a message from heaven. Here it is looks like an evil spirit blowing evil over the earth.
